Saw a video of two bears near a river, with two bald eagles sitting close by. What a lovely display of the ecosystem at work. The bears will eat the fatty organs of the fish, the bald eagles will swoop in for the flesh, and the bones will decay into the soil, nothing being left to waste. Beautiful 💙

Found out it was probably a hobo spider, which have awful vision and likely didn't even realized it got too close. I should have relocated it. Absolutely gutted with guilt and despair.

Went to kill a spider and I think I permanently incapacitated it, but I can't find it to put it out of its misery. I feel so bad. This is why I don't kill spiders, man. I only have a success rate of about 30%.
