I get this a lot too. I don't use ChatGPT or any LLMs in my work because I want my writing to sound like me, not like the averaged-out voice of the internet. But also, writing is thinking, and thinking is a habit. I don't want to get out of that habit.

I had an incredible time at the 100-year celebrations of quantum physics organised by @iop.org at the @rigb.org, London. It was an honour to participate in a panel discussion on the future of quantum science and technology. A brief mention of Quantum in Pictures attracted a lot of interest.

Genocide as property development

I’m so delighted to have had the chance to speak to a group of Pakistani school students about quantum through pictures today. These 13- to 18-year-olds arranged this online talk themselves and actively engaged with the material, asking brilliant questions, all on a Sunday evening.

Yesterday, I delivered the first lecture of my career. It was an invited lecture for the graduate-level Quantum Information course taught by Artur Ekert at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. It was a super fun experience! Hopefully, the students also got something out of it.

I defended my Physics PhD this week at the University of Oxford. What a great privilege it has been. Alhamdulillah! Super grateful to Bob Coecke and Alexy Karenowska for supervising my doctoral work. Thanks to the Rhodes Trust and Magdalen College for the financial support.
