A Declaration of Emergency has been signed for Fulton County. This declaration allows Fulton County and AFCEMA to activate additional resources during the response and recovery for the upcoming ice storm.

Metro Atlanta is now in an Ice Storm Warning, per the NWS Atlanta. Preparations should be completed today, as freezing rain and icy conditions are expected to begin tomorrow afternoon and last through Monday.

DO NOT TRAVEL unless absolutely necessary! Icy roadways are making travel impossible on many streets, especially in central and southern Fulton County. Stay off roadways unless necessary.

Remember, when there's snow, take it slow. Roadway conditions are beginning to deteriorate, and all of the roadway temperature sensors in Fulton County are at or below freezing. We expect to see some minor impacts with a few slick spots.
