Day 11 of my Stardew Valley forest farm (Y1 Spring 11). Fun fact: I consider the first spring to be the most important season in Stardew Valley if challenge running. Do everything mostly right and it starts to build. But, wow, does it help when there's 3 rainy days this early for catfish money.

You can more easily tell in this photo that the potatoes are growing at a different rate. 13 potatoes to replace the original parsnips plus the rest when scarecrow was unlocked. Break from the mines to get the pickaxe upgraded so fished instead

Day 9 of my Stardew Valley forest farm (Y1 Spring 9). Off to the mines. Goal is to rush to floor 40 or more by Day 13 for the iron! I'll be so sleepy from this being loaded with plants that I won't get to run mines again until near end of season.

Day 8 of my Stardew Valley forest farm (Y1 Spring 8). It's unusual to get two rainy days before Egg Festival. I rush to fish some catfish, but I also made sure to gift Abigail her favorite rock. I don't know if Abigail will like me in time for the dance, but gonna try!

Day 7 of my Stardew Valley forest farm (Y1 Spring 7). If I were to do something over again, I'd have left a walkway through the potatoes as walking through crops is slightly slower. Then I would have put flooring down as walking on flooring is slightly faster.

Day 6 of my Stardew Valley forest farm (Y1 Spring 6). Potato day. Planted 13 potatoes yesterday and gonna plant 37 more. The money is ok, but the real goal is farming level 3. Every level of farming = less energy to water. Gonna need that boost for Day 13. You’ll see.

Day 5 of my Stardew Valley forest farm (Y1 Spring 5). Parsnip day. 13 parsnips harvested = exactly what's needed for level 1 farming for the scarecrow.

Day 4 of my Stardew Valley forest farm (Y1 Spring 4). I continue to fish hard. I get to level 6 fishing and clear a bit more land ahead of Day 5's first potato planting session.

Day 3 of my Stardew Valley forest farm (Y1 Spring 3). The only guaranteed day of rain besides a random green rain day each Summer. I power leveled fishing to level 3 so the fiberglass rod is available to purchase, which I use to catch 13 catfish in a single run.

Day 2 of my Stardew Valley forest farm (Y1 Spring 2). You can see my 13 parsnip/1 cauli/1 green bean opener along with one of the two perks of forest farm: forage. Gathering them then off to power level fishing to level 3 using the training rod ahead of Day 3.

Day 1 of my Stardew Valley forest farm (Y1 Spring 1). Hunkering down and clearing enough land for 13 parsnips, 1 cauliflower, and 1 green bean. Using the rest of my energy to get random twigs so trees can continue to spread.

Resident Evil Requiem is finally wrapped up on insanity mode. Slow walked it a bit to fully explore all over again. It’d take one heck of a game to unseat this as my GOTY frontrunner.

Been thinking a lot about Life is Strange lately. Need to actually finish Double Exposure and look into the new game later this month.

I’m about 2 hours into this and I like it so far. Nice homage to 3D plaformers from PS1/N64 era with fun quirks. (Review code provided)

Resident Evil Requiem had one of the coziest safe rooms ever in any RE. The couch helped tie it all together.

I had the opportunity to try the Beta version of Feed the Scorchpot, which is a neat indie game that's basically Catan with Balatro's big math energy. Basically, roll the dice to generate resources, cook recipes, and feed a dragon with exponentially higher scoring requirements. 1/2

Certain Skyrim mods or errors can these NPCs to spawn in Whiterun called "Planter." Hearthfire created these to run things in the background due to how that DLC handled scripting for the planters. Well, stuff can go wrong and poof you now have immortal shirtless men hanging out.

It’s 55F and sunny in Chicago so went for a bit of a walk over to Fulton.

Third playthrough of Resident Evil Requiem done with the four hour achievement done. This included 30 minutes of tomfoolery related to solving the Final Puzzle.

My favorite Stardew Valley basement design. Not a big fan of relying on casks for money, but I do like having iridium aged cheese for food so I kept a few. Made a little den. Gave my urchins hats. Have some hops growing with dx retaining soil.

Second play though of Resident Evil Requiem done. Six hours to knock off the minimalist, no heal, and collection challenges. Next up is probably the four hour challenge.

For many, Resident Evil Requiem was a survival horror experience. For me, it was a silly action movie with fun Leon one liners and some horror stuff in-between that.
