“Yes, that’s right.” He chuckles at the question. “I just want something stable… where we can both understand each other. Like me and Rita.”

“I can see why Deb chose you. You have that one thing I know she loves, but I can never put my finger on what it’s called…” Trying to make conversation. (💭: If I’m going to get closer to my sister as she insists I do, I need to understand her surroundings… especially this guy here.)

“No, no, it’s fine. It was just a bit sudden, really.” Scratching the back of his head.

“We’re… still looking into that, actually. Maybe a copycat killer..?” (💭: Why bring that up? Especially to the man who did it…) His eyes narrow. Now he’s a bit put off.

“Do you what you have to do!” Another chuckle. “Alright, Deb. Have fun getting those guys. See you later?”

“I don’t know, I haven’t visited him yet. Debra has, so you could ask her.” Staring back into Rudy’s eyes.

“You have great analytical skills. You can come assist with the investigation, if you’d like. Deb would really appreciate it!” He narrows his eyes. (💭: Rudy intrigues me… no, he captivates me. He can’t just be a limb guy. He’s something more…)

“If he can drain all the blood from his victims, surely he wouldn’t be as careless as that faker.” He laughs as well. He’s feeling an odd… connection to Rudy.

“We still don’t have a lead suspect. There was this guy who came in saying he was the killer, but it’s clear now that he was just trying to get some attention.” (💭: Because the Ice Truck Killer knows who I am… he knows what I do, he knows all about me.)

“That would be an honour, Dr. Rudy!” Chuckling.

“Me? I couldn’t do it on my own, I’ll need my colleagues for that.” (💭: Until I get any sort of sufficient evidence pointing to one person… then I’m getting hands-on.) Somewhat staring at the odd semi-smirk, but kinda ignoring it. “You’re doing a great job helping Tony out. We all appreciate it.”

“Of course! The Ice Truck Killer is ruthless! First those chopped up bodies, now him… at least they got me and Debra working on his case, am I right?” He laughs. “I would not have the spirit he does if I was in his position. Maybe it’s all the girls that come to his room… that’s what Deb told me.”

“Yeah, actually. Don’t use them often, though. Do you wanna come visit sometime? It can be fun.” (💭: It just doesn’t match the feeling of actually doing it to a real human. The satisfaction…)

“It’s not really as cool as I picture it in my head. I just look at a dead body, and boom! I see how everything played out, almost as if I was killing them myself…” Widening his eyes, spacing out a little bit. (💭: Because I probably would if not for the code. I’d be just like the people I hunt…)

“You know you can punch him in other places, right?” His attempt at humour. He awkwardly chuckles. (💭: Only thing insane about that is the possibility of him finding me… not going to happen.)

“…staying with us, it is…” (💭: She can’t find anything. She can’t.) As Dexter, Debra and Hanna head to the former’s place, the blood spatter analyst sighs. “So what did you come here looking for? Well, other than a residence.”

“Well, something’s clearly happened to you. If you tell us what it is, we can figure out what to do from here.” Dexter follows Hanna and Debra. (💭: More specifically, *I* can figure out what to do from here, because if this is the doing of a man or woman… I’ll take matters into my own hands.)

“I insist. Wherever you came from, it looks like it’s treated you very badly. If you tell us something, we can help you.” Dexter doesn’t really catch her dismissal, and is persistent in understanding her situation.

(well Dexter has officially had his first Bluesky kill!)

“Finally… my thirst for blood has been quenched.” Dexter chucks Antinous’ chopped up body parts into the ocean. He smirks as he cleans up the blood on his boat. “I should’ve prepared this how I usually do, but he could’ve easily escaped in that time and killed me. I could not risk that at all.”

“You don’t act like you have a soul to begin with.” Swiftly pulling out the knife from his victim’s chest, Dexter walks away for a moment to retrieve his saw. When he returns, he activates the weapon and begins to slice up Antinous’ body… starting from the bottom. “Don’t worry, the sea will-” +

"Yea, go fu—" Without hesitation, Dexter slams his knife into Antinous’ torso. “Ah, ah, ah! Poor choice of words there, pal. You could’ve lived a minute longer.”

“Things talk to me, too, but they’re just voices in my head telling me to do what I’m about to do. Maybe you hear them too… not for much longer, though.” Dexter takes a deep breath and holds the knife above Antinous’ chest in a ritualistic manner. “Do you have any final words? Choose them wisely.”

“Well, that second option sounds like what I’ll do. Do you really believe in that spiritual crap?” A sadistic chuckle leaves his lips as he reaches for his knife. “It won’t work. Death is permanent, and yours? Yours has been inevitable.”

Dexter arrives at the harbour and opens the trunk. “Good. You’ve stayed put.” Picking up Antinous’ wrapped body, the serial killer runs to his boat and places the suitor on the vehicle as he drives out to sea. “Something’s very wrong with you. Don’t worry, though… something’s wrong with me too.”

(💭: I don’t know who I am either. Am I the donut-giving blood spatter analyst my colleagues see me as at work, or am I the serial killer my victims bear witness to in their final moments? Am I both? Am I none? I couldn’t tell if my life depended on it… but maybe someday it will.) Very deep in- +

“It’s fine. Not the worst I’ve dealt with, trust me.” Referring once again to Doakes. “Justice is a very messy thing. Each person has a different sense of justice, as in how it should be executed.” (💭: Execution is, in fact, my form of justice.)

(💭: Could you handle being told that you’re talking to a serial killer? I doubt it.) “Sometimes these sorts of bad people manage to slip past the law. That’s why I’m not taking it to my colleagues yet. If we have trouble, sure — I can talk to them.” Dexter’s nervous. She’s being too investigative.

“Well, that’s another plan down the drain!” Nervous chuckle, which becomes even more anxious as Spencer utters her question. “Well, you said not to tell my colleagues about this situation while we’re working on it, but you didn’t say anything about telling them after we’ve stopped them.” +

Closing the door behind him, Dexter sighs. “Not really the best place to sleep at. My sister Debra, the girl you just saw; she can find you a place to stay, but it can’t be here. Sorry.” He leans against the wall. “Do you need to talk to someone? You seem like you’ve been through… a lot.”

“Uh…” A confused look dawns upon Dexter’s face. “You’re at Miami Metro P.D., ma’am. I don’t know why you’re here; the reason is up to you to explain.” (💭: What happened to her? I haven’t seen such an expression on the faces of even my victims.)

“Alright, any tele-communicative methods don’t seem to work from what I’m hearing, but you’ve mentioned something very interesting; when you and your friends escaped this ‘dollhouse’, where did you find yourselves located?” Dexter’s eyebrows begin to lower. He’s thinking very hard about- +

“OOFH! Agh… I definitely got a kick out of that one…” Dexter winces as he shoves Antinous into the trunk of his car before covering him in plastic wrap and driving to the harbour. (💭: This guy has experience with Greek warriors. There’s no time to set up my kill… I must dispose of him quickly.)

“You can unblock them just for this occasion. Besides, who wouldn’t be down for a road trip?” Dexter widens his eyes at the reveal of the chipping. “If you remember where you disposed those chips, we could find one of the -A members’ fingerprints on them.”

“As I said before, if I’m able to get some technology from the station, you can call them and I could track their signal’s location.” Dexter fidgets with the cup. “We could also try finding members of the group and get some intel out of them.”

“I kill to make sure people like you stop roaming the streets. I’m only saying this to you because I’m about to make you an example.” With that, Dexter whips out his M99 syringe and sticks it in Antinous’ throat. “You should be lights out in a second or two. Don’t worry, though… this isn’t fatal.”

“I have heard a lot of things about you. Murder, attempted rape… truly horrible stuff, correct?” “That is why I’m approaching you.”
