Is it a thing that department stores (ie Kohls, Macs etc) get ripped off by people with strollers? So many times already I’ll be looking for clothes or toys for Selby and within 10 minutes there’s a loss prevention person lurking around me.

It just took us 4 hours to get our daughter to go to sleep. A walk around the neighborhood, many impromptu lullabies, trips around our apartment in a bassinet, multiple feeding and binky attempts, goodnight moon, chirri & chirra, mobile spins, and one barking dog. Happy Valentines Day! 💘

Eight years ago today, we lost thirty-six people to the Ghost Ship fire in Oakland. I was close with fourteen or fifteen of those people—I don’t remember exactly. Immediately following the fire, I began to write, as I didn’t know what else to do. I’ll share excerpts of some of what I published.
