There's something beautiful about the the GBC-era pixel art and palette. It shows how much can be done with very little, without the visual noise of many modern games. Sometimes, the best way forward is simply remembering where we came from.

Its funny in the past I only really focused on making better detailed art, but pixel art taught me how much you can do with a little. Limitations can be a large factor in innovation.

Fun fact, the origin for the game Celeste, was actually started in the program Pico-8

Pico-8 is such a cool program, and great for learning programming. You're even able to open a game and see it's code, I just opened up a game called PicoCraft, and it's basically the old Warcraft RTS in the program. Reminds me a lot of Fuze 4 on Switch, and the fact that it's all in one.
