Yesterday we had the joy of recognizing River with a Holiday Spirit Award for her incredible kindness. For her 3rd birthday, River chose to use her birthday money to help “kids with hungry tummies”. With some help from her mom, she bought about $200 worth of groceries to donate to Morningstar.

Wrapped up the evening in Marmora with a beautiful Christmas parade. 🎄✨ The floats were glowing, the kids were smiling, and the whole town felt like a Christmas card come to life.

There’s just something special about the Christmas parade in Madoc. Today’s parade had all the magic — Christmas lights, neighbours calling out to one another, and candy canes for days! These are the moments that make small towns so special.

Few things say “Christmas spirit” like a home that makes the whole neighbourhood smile. Every year, Cory Wease puts incredible thought and care into his lawn display — adding new touches, planning out the details, and creating something that kids (and kids-at-heart) look forward to.

A fantastic night in Stirling–Rawdon at the Christmas parade. 🎄 The cold didn’t kill us, and I had some fantastic elves with me to hand out candy canes.

Yesterday, I rose in the Legislature to ask the government to explore expanding the Constable Joe MacDonald Public Safety Officers’ Survivors Scholarship Fund to include families of first responders who lose their lives to duty-related cancers.
