This afternoon, I had the honour of delivering my presentation, "Innovating with AI: Pedagogical Workflows for English Language Teaching," for the British Council China TeachingEnglish Online Conference 2025.

Today, I delivered the second session in my four-part series, "AI for Language Teachers: A Practical Skills-Based Approach," focusing specifically on "Speaking with AI" for the dedicated in-service Modern Language Teachers of Castilla y León

This week, I was back at Belvedere College in Dublin working with a lovely group of Italian and Slovak teachers who were keen to explore how AI and ChatGPT can empower them in the classroom.

I'm delighted to announce that I'll be speaking at the 17th Annual 21st Century Learning Conference (21CLHK) in Hong Kong in person 12th-14th March 2026!

At 6 am this morning, I had the honour of presenting a 2 hour PD session for the languages department at Tanglin Trust School in Singapore. This session, titled "Supercharge Your Language Teaching with AI", was tailored for a faculty of nearly 20 people.

Between my keynote and workshop at yesterday's World Language Conference at International School Basel, I also managed to fit in an hour-long online session for language teachers from The Consortium Academy Trust.

For my second session at today's World Language Conference at International School Basel, I delivered a highly practical workshop titled "AI in Action: Practical Tools for the Language Classroom".

Yesterday morning it was my honour and privilege to open the World Language Conference at the International School Basel (ISB). The energy was palpable, especially as the turnout of 110 attendees greatly exceeded the originally estimated 60 delegates.

Well, it's been an incredible 3 days! I've presented 6 separate sessions for DIPS (Developing International Projects for Schools) in beautiful (and very hot!) Valencia, as well as the first online session of my new course for the Centro de Formación del Profesorado en Idiomas de Castilla y León

For my 6th and final presentation at DIPS Valencia, I talked about Spin It, Say It, Show It: Creative AI for the Classroom. This session was dedicated to exploring how generative AI can support engaging, student-centred activities that promote creativity and visual storytelling.

For my penultimate session at DIPS Valencia, I gave a short presentation as part of the first warm-up session of the day. This interactive, hands-on input was a plenary-style segment lasting around 25 minutes and was called "Once Upon an AI: Storytelling with a Twist".

For my fourth session at DIPS Valencia, I ran a workshop, "Talking Tools: AI for Interactive Listening and Speaking". The core focus was demonstrating specific AI-powered tools that support adaptive and creative methods for enhancing listening and speaking skills in the classroom

For my third session at DIPS Valencia, I delivered a high-energy 30-minute showcase titled "AI for VET: Fast, Fun and Full of Wow!". The entire aim was to demonstrate six powerful AI tools tailored for Vocational Education and Training contexts.

For my second session at DIPS Valencia 'Rehearse, Record, Reflect: Practising Listening and Speaking with AI', I structured the workshop specifically for VET educators to explore methods of using AI to support the practice of listening and speaking skills in vocational contexts.

This afternoon, I was delighted to kick off my new online series for Centro de Formación del Profesorado en Idiomas de Castilla y León "AI for language teachers: a practical skills-based approach".

For the opening activity of DIPS 2025 in Valencia, I launched an interactive version of the Give 3, Get 3 task to set the tone for the week and encourage early collaboration. Here's how it unfolded.
