My stepfather Kip Carmen recorded a demo for Atlantic Records in 1978. He was offered a deal but turned it down to remain an independent artist. The McCrary - Emerge (Cat’s Eye 1973 / 2025 BBE reissue) A record so rare I’ve never even heard more than a few minutes of it digitally, until this reissue (the first since 1973). The McCrary family were a gospel group and this is their first secular R&B / funk record. Mind blowing stuff! #funksky
