Trying to familiarize myself with work equipment… Nikon D6 and Profoto b30 strobes. I strongly dislike the layout of the Nikon, but I’ll be damned if it didn’t create a sharp image. And of course, I love the profotos.

A screw randomly fell out of my glasses frame at some point (maybe last night?) causing the lens to pop out of the frame this morning. I almost fell down the stairs. Daylight savings is in full effect. And my gas station stop was randomly closed this morning. Monday’s off to a great start.

Just got my contractor badge. Full time photographer, baby! Already have a campaign coming up that’s gonna have my photos on billboards. Couldn’t be happier right now. Major milestone for me.

Basement bar in progress. Built out the very basic framing for the counter, and hung out up the slatted wall panels. I know it doesn’t look like much, but once it’s all done, I think I’m going to be very happy.

Built two of these guys tonight along side @benjiej.bsky.social . I never really built Lego as an adult, but it was pretty rad. I see the appeal, and using the iPad app is SO choice. There’s still one more to build, but the table we were working on was not ideal, and our backs had enough.

Last night was fun. Was wild going to a mathcore/metalcore show in 2026 that made me feel like I really time traveled to me going to shows 20 years prior. Then I realized these kids are the offspring of kids I grew up going to shows with (not actually, but mathematically speaking).

Hadn’t done this song before. I love me some misfits/danzig… this isn’t my favorite Danzig song. But… it’s what they had.
