Every time Nintendo stops doing something they used to do, it's an opportunity for some other brand to become more Nintendoish.

I see a lot of game devs calling their projects "cozy". If you'd like a cozy controller to pair with them, consider the Duke. It's so big, it'll make you to stretch your fingers, forcing them into a cozy position.

Alundra 2's graphics were rough around the edges, yet it still had interesting content, like the scene where the protagonist sees a giant key in the distance, covered in scaffolding.

You can tell that a movie was made in the 90s, if the villain looks into a fluorescent light and says "Kidnap that hero pig".

I'd like to put a gaming PC inside a red and black plastic enclosure. They're not very easy to find. I'm thinkin' about using a toolbox as an enclosure.

When I bought this in a used game store, the counter guy asked me what fighting games I was interested in. The answer was..... zero. I said there were about 4 locally-made games that would probably work with this.

PCs should be able to launch games at least as smoothly as a Nintendo 64 could.

I recommend not requiring delicate mouse movement in point-and-click games. King's Quest VII is almost really easy to play with a controller, but the wand adjustment challenge makes that idea more absurd than it would otherwise be.

A good gaming PC shouldn't require you to type a password at bootup, or accidentally force you to see a photo of a coastline from inside a cave.

The advantage that consoles have over PCs is their ease of use in living rooms. The advantage that PCs have over consoles is their software and controller compatibility. It would be disasterous for both gaming types to end up having neither advantage.

The Lenovo P3 Ultra is the perfect size for a gaming PC. But... it has 3 USB ports in the front, and 4 in the back. WHY?!!! Are we supposed to believe that no one would ever want a 4-player party with wired controllers?

I wanna point out that, in Lode Runner, you can create your own levels. In Syphon Filter : The Omega Strain, you can create your own soldiers. In Graffiti Kingdom, you can flat-out draw them, and they turn 3D.

If both these versions of the Xbox controller were equally easy to buy, would everyone still prefer the real one? I'm not sure, but I wish I could test this with thousands of children.

I tested Azaran - Islands of The Jinn. The game claims it "supports Xbox controllers" but it'll work with anything, including N64 ones. The only hard part about setting up an N64 controller came from the fact that the game doesn't list its keyboard/mouse defaults upfront.

Don't complain about Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen prices. Download Vaporwave Battler, and fight vaporwave creatures instead. And if you don't know what vaporwave is, that's half the reason to do it.

The
Itch.io
game Hollowspire wasn't made with gun controllers in mind, yet it doesn't matter, because the game is first-person, and uses simple mouse movement, which is easy to run through JoyToKey.

In King's Quest VII, a witch disappears in front of a princess, then reappears right behind her, then uses magic to transport her into a room that's about 8 meters away. It seems like an inefficient way to do things, but at least we get a close-up shot of the characters.
