I'm so frequently taken aback by the way people act in the comments section. I know I shouldn't be, by now, but I am.

It is insanely emotionally exhausting to manage my own emotional self-regulation while trying to teach my teenaged child emotional self-regulation. If you're coping with your own chronic mental illness while trying to be an emotionally present parent, I see you, and you deserve nice things. 💖🫂

My kids have been bickering about stupid bullshit every day recently. My mom would have just grabbed a broomstick, chased us and whoever she got to first would get wacked. I don't do that.

Nice little mental health walk on the beach. Much more enjoyable than walking on the treadmill. We walked 6 miles, but it felt very easy and it was overcast most of the time.

Trying to do family activities with a teenager and a preteen is like trying to herd cats. They're always going in different directions and when you finally corral them together there's usually some hissing involved.

My blood pressure was so high today they said they might have to admit me to the hospital. I kept saying I have white coat syndrome, no one listened. They kept checking and rechecking while I was visibly crying with frustration. It was higher each time. I have to go back tomorrow to try again. 😭

I know that White Coat Syndrome is commonly understood, I just don't understand why so many medical professionals I've had to interact with seem to completely dismiss my anxiety like I'm just being silly.

Are you routinely convinced that everyone secretly hates you and is merely tolerating you for reasons you don't understand? Why does my mind hate me 😭
