Attended downtown Kirkland’s cute little Pride event today, and the performances were super fun. Highly skilled roller skaters, a handstand artist, and one super colorful performer singing “It’s raining THEM” (a non-binary twist on the old regular). ❤️

Way to represent, Kirkland! The staging line for the No Kings march is MILES long at this point. I am pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, no, back to back aerial days after 2 months off was not the smartest thing I’ve ever done. I’ll be happy if I can move at ALL tomorrow. 😬 Shoulders gave out during a pullover mount, landing me flat on my back on the ground (thankfully, there was a thick crash pad)- GRACEFUL (that’s me 😂).

Took a drop-in static trapeze class for the first time in 2 months yesterday and dang, I am SORE (in a good way). I wouldn't normally go 2x/wk this soon off the bench, but a dedicated Sling class starts tonight and it's going to be my go-to for a few months to help build more grip/lat strength.

I have had multiple Premier Protein RTD shakes almost EVERY SINGLE DAY for the last ~15 years or so. [I had never heard of "samefood" until I got diagnosed with ASD. 😆] I think I found a replacement though (😮!) - Nurri has almost the same macronutrient profile and tastes more like chocolate milk.

Finished my first playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3 last night. What a great game! I'm definitely going to replay at some point, but dang, I kind of need a gaming break. 😅😆 (You don't even want to know how many hours went into that...)

It only took ~7 years, but I finally have my rapid prototyping classes in a state where different engines can basically be used interchangeably and section sizes can expand without intensifying the grading load (while still assessing for important things). WHEW.

We are approaching the time of year when the two wolves inside me (reclusive introvert who hates "Outside" and everything in it, vs human being with a physical body that intensely craves sunshine and fried foods) basically duke it out in public in front of random strangers on any day over 58 °F.

It's finally warm enough that I can start leaving windows cracked a bit all day. It shouldn't be surprising, but I'm still vaguely shocked at how much more productive I am WFH with better airflow. What do you all do about CO2 levels during winter without dramatically increasing heating costs?

Finally finished the new season of Pantheon on Netflix and damn. Loved the entire show, would definitely recommend it to sci-fi fans.

I've been on a horror kick lately (to distract from the daily horror that is American life rn) and want all of your normally-reserved-for-Halloween recommendations. My current WFH background noise has been Friday the 13th: The Series, after the 1991 remake of Dark Shadows (all free on Youtube).

The creatures in Arcadian were really freaking disturbing! 😱🏆 (Hats off to the design team. The only movie monster that has creeped me out more [remotely recently] was the bear in Annihilation.)

Finally got a chance to play Little Kitty, Big City. It definitely had some Untitled Goose Game vibes, but with a fair amount of narrative added. The whole thing was SUPER CUTE and all-ages friendly (for anyone looking for games for their kids). Played through the whole thing in ~7 hours total.

Did NOT expect that twist in the very first episode of TOMORROW+i! 😲 Hit me in all the feels. ❤️ Interesting modern limited sci-fi series made in Thailand. (There is even English dubbing for folks who don't want to deal with subtitles.)
