Andrzej Żuławski’s Possession is one of my all time horror favourites. The new 4K limited edition release is mighty and worth its value.

Dare I say the design for this new iteration of Lara Croft is 10/10. A modernised version of the original iconic look. That trailer for Legacy of Atlantis is chill inducing. The perfect way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this iconic character and franchise.

My anticipation for Resident Evil 9 was already at a 10. Have to throw a multiplier on that now that the OG is in the game.

Well deserved🏆👏🏾 Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is an unforgettable experience. An instant all timer with some of the most emotionally poignant storytelling in gaming history, filled with jaw dropping twists. The gameplay is excellent, the score is incredible and the world building is mesmerising.

Supergirl should look and feel refreshingly different but this just looks like faux Guardians of the Galaxy. Even when James Gunn isn’t in the director’s chair, his style and humour feels overbearing within this new DCU.

I’m happy Demon Slayer - The Movie: Infinity Castle recieved a Golden Globe nomination for Best Animated Film, but Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc should’ve received one too.

This is the first time I’ve logged into BlueSky in over 6 months. Believe it or not, X has become even more of a hellhole, so hopefully things are much more peaceful over here. It would be nice if people engage with each other like normal, respectful and happy human beings.

I’m 7 hours deep and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is on pace to be one of my favourite games in recent years. Sandfall Interactive has put the whole industry on notice. The fact that this game was developed by just 30 people is incredible.

I watched Sinners in 70MM IMAX 3 hours ago & it left me speechless. There’s so much to digest. All I’ll say for now is one sequence stunned me visually, sonically & conceptually. The execution & what it symbolises left me breathless. The scope of Coogler’s ideas astound me.

Wind Breaker Season 2 has started at a 10. Episode 1 was carnage! It went by so fast. Ren’s entrance was cold. I like the small character beats that are peppered throughout the fights and this Ep. made WB feel even more like The Warriors. 👊🏾 Straight heat🔥🔥🔥

Black Bag is a lean 90 minute spy thriller with sharp writing that is matched by Soderbergh‘s direction which is equally as sharp. It has excellent performances from its cast. Sources of light within this film have an oddly comforting bloom effect which makes the cinematography visually appeasing.

I’ve played 4 hours of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. The best thing about it so far is the introduction to a clan of villains called The Onryo. They made me think of how Tarantino would introduce a villainous group such as this. The music in that scene felt fitting for a Western.

Me in 2011 - “They should make an AC game in Japan” 2025 - They finally made an AC game in Japan. The hype for Assassin’s Creed Shadows would be insane if it was 10 years ago, but adding Yasuke to this game might be the secret sauce.

I’ve been working hard on content for YouTube over the past few weeks and I’ve found a pocket that I enjoy doing, which is the video essay format for video games. My first video like this will be my review of Monster Hunter Wilds. I aim to have this finished and uploaded sometime this week.

Capcom’s classic game design is legendary to me. It’s emblematic of that old school gaming feel in one of its purest forms. Resident Evil. Devil May Cry. ONIMUSHA. Dino Crisis. All 4 of those franchises feature variations of their iconic framework and gameplay. Classics.

After clocking 2 hours in Death Stranding I feel like if I am going to continue, I will need to micro dose my play sessions. I’m still intrigued by it but my intrigue outweighs my enjoyment. The lengthy cut scenes disrupt the flow. So far it’s giving me more to watch than play.

Monster Hunter Wilds and Diablo 4 will remain in my gaming rotation for the foreseeable future. I’m hooked on both. I will still play other games around them, but I can see myself playing those two games at least once per week and completing a few hunts and dungeons.

I rolled credits on Monster Hunter Wilds. I played Rise back in 2021 but this is the first MH game I’ve beat. I enjoyed the experience, the weapon variation and the complexity of the gameplay. I loved the monsters. The story and characters were surprisingly good.

This is most likely bad news. Just wait, I bet we’ll now get a bunch of spin off shows and films set in the 007 universe, as Amazon look to milk this iconic franchise for all it’s worth.

The Arcane Sanctuary in Diablo II is one of the most unique and simply coolest looking locations I’ve ever seen in a video game.

The Monkey is the biggest disappointment of the year for me (so far). This is Osgood Perkins most conventional looking film. All of the style and splendour that I would associate with his previous work is missing. The whole film feels disjointed and doesn’t execute its concept in an exciting way.

I’ve beat 7 video games so far this. That may already be higher than my total last year. My favourites so far are RoboCop: Rogue City and Mafia: Definitive Edition.

The only TV I tend to watch nowadays is anime. It’s even been a while since I’ve found a good American animated show. I’m currently enjoying the new series Common Side Effects on Adult Swim / Channel 4. It’s funny, the plot is interesting and the animation has that old school King of the Hill vibe.

I finally watched Sleepy Hollow last night. This instantly jumped into my top 2 films from Tim Burton and it might not be the 2. A gothic horror fantasy with stunning atmospheric imagery. It has much more blood and decapitation than I expected.

I decided to watch The Godfather today. I was reminded that it is a seminal picture that stands tall as a landmark film in the history of cinema. 50+ years later it is still immediately clear as to why it holds the legacy that it does. Every element of this film is A+.

D-Rex. The mutant hybrid dinosaur in Jurassic World Rebirth. Xenomorph-like face, Rancor build. I’m down with it because this is an addition not a replacement. We still have a T-Rex, 3 Spinosaurus’, Mosasaurus, Velociraptors, Quetzalcoatlus and Titanosaurus in the film.

After reading Vanity Fair’s article I’m extremely excited for Jurassic Park: Rebirth. The story and direction they’re taking the dinosaurs sounds thrilling. The failed experiments which were bred to fight and have since evolved. “These are the dinosaurs that didn’t work. There’s some mutations”

#FinalDestination  5 came out nearly 14 years ago. August 2011. I was just watching my YouTube review of it from back then 😂 I’ve been reviewing films for a long time. When I stop and think about it, it’s a lot to comprehend. Nearly half of my life. Passion. 🎞️
