There is such a thing as too much coffee. I think I've hit it.

"When did it get so late?"

"Are you involved in government agencies I should know about?" Nolan asks with a laugh. "I mean, I'm a lawyer, but..."

"Yeah." He pulls a pen from the inner pocket of his jacket and hands it to her.

"It's nice to meet you, too," Nolan replies. "I, uh -- I have to get to work, but if you give me your number, I can. . . We can figure out a time for me to make up for ruining your clothes."

He is booked with meetings. Seems like his lunch is going to be from one of the food trucks parked across the street from the court house.

He's not going to get nearly enough sleep tonight.

"Nolan. Nolan Price." Nolan offers a faint smile and holds his hand out, taking hers in a firm grip to give a shake.

"By all means, tell me more."

"Do you want to hang out with a lawyer?"

|| Hugh forgot to take his wedding ring off for one day of filming so there's an epsiode of L&O where Nolan is inexplicably wearing a wedding ring.

"Uh. . . " Nolan laughs softly and then nods. "Sure. I would love to take you to dinner. I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name."

Nolan admittedly feels bad -- He'd been moving very quickly and hadn't been paying attention. "A date?" he repeats with a surprised little laugh. "Do you think that'll repay the, um. The damages? I am very sorry." He hasn't gone on a date with anyone in quite a while.

He doesn't need to be in such a rush -- all that's to be done today is file paperwork. It's really very dull.

It's not often that Nolan has enough time to get out and do things that he enjoys; he's remarkably familiar with his office walls and those of his apartment, but he has managed to get a couple of days where another ADA is taking over his caseload. Using the brief few days he has off, Nolan decides
