After a long nine months of bargaining, NWLC United is proud to announce that we have ratified our successor contract! We fought hard throughout the bargaining process, and are proud to have won a new contract that includes:

Our laid off colleagues are officially no longer with the Law Center as of last month, but we’re doing one last push to raise money to support them through our mutual aid fund.

It's been one month since the National Women’s Law Center laid off 20% of staff. We are proud to announce—thanks to the power of collective action—that the union was able to secure 3 additional months of COBRA health care coverage & 2 additional weeks of severance pay for our laid off unit members.

One week ago—with half an hour of notice given to the union, and in the midst of bargaining for our second contract—the National Women’s Law Center announced it would be eliminating 20% of staff, laying off 32 of our colleagues (including 21 members of our unit).

More than 75 workers at the @carnegieworkers.bsky.social are joining the @nonprofitunion.bsky.social and have been fighting for voluntary recognition of their union since June 17.

Solidarity forever! Today, the union at @nwlc.org will sit down to kick off bargaining for our second contract. We couldn't be more excited to fight for our unit to get the best contract we possibly can. LFG!!✊
