🏆 A blistering 7-0 in March of the Machine draft. I'm dumpster tier due to avoiding the current UB slop, so the competition was a bit soft - but the deck felt great regardless. Zephyr Singer was easy MVP. Twice I went T4 Knight of the Coalition into T5 KotC + Singer. 11 flying vigilance damage.

I finished up an excellent 60+ hours of Clair Obscur on my #steamdeck - top 10 game for me and maybe creeping into my lifetime top 5. I played on normal mode the entire way through and while I got quite good at dodging, I could never parry worth a damn. Might come back for more end game content.

I didn't know how much I cared about aesthetics in Magic until WotC started making UB a mandatory part of the limited rotation. I had to stop listening to one of my fav podcasts today b/c the host transitioned from ECL to TMNT - 5m in and I just couldn't do it - the card names triggered me bad.

I couldn't do a single prerelease of Lorwyn at my LGS because every single spot from Friday to Thursday was sold out more than a week in advance. TMNT, on the other hand, has zero sold out events. Not that I'm engaging with that set. Just a telling observation.

🏆 (3-0 / 6-1) Took down cube night last night with this sweet WBr allies deck in a low powered modern cube. The deck played out way faster than what my opponents were trying to do and matches were over in a flash. The Lorwyn changelings really tired the room together. #mtgcube

Alright.... at first I didn't like the Time Police novels nearly as much as St. Mary's - but this series is just phenomenal now that it's going. Capers. Hijinks. Intrigue. Sass. It's got it all. One nitpick: I wish Taylor would allow suspense to span novels... too tidy. 🪐📚💙 #book #scifi

🏆 3-0 (6-1) with Doran's Vivid Kithkin. This WGb deck was incredibly scrappy and won by grinding out value. Drafting and playing it was a tonne of fun; if you listened to @sampratt.bsky.social 's recent episode it's a good example of how decks tend to look outside of the (terrible) Bo1 queues.

🏆 7-1 drafting WUr control in the Arena Powered cube. On the road for an extra-long weekend so needed to dip back into Bo1. Deck was nothing special, but got the job done by closing the door on most opponents and then grinding out games.

I know common wisdom states the "proper way" to draft Lorwyn Eclipsed is to hook yourself up to one of the 5 supported creature type decks and hang on for dear life - but that's just so boring. I'd rather P1P1 Sapling Nursery and build RG stompy than draft on rails. 2-1 result (plus fun equity).
