In a Premier League increasingly defined by power & pace, #LFC have neither. They lack dynamism and physicality. Liverpool no match for Forest after first 30 minutes. Concede 1st again. Undone by set piece again. No answers for low block again. Isak offers nothing again. Defensively fragile again.

Assuming they score, it would be beneficial if #LFC did it first against a Forrest side that’s given them problems even in the best of times. Hopefully, the return to Anfield & the return of Alisson can help change fortunes. Speaking of fortunes, Isak - he of 1 goal vs a Championship team - is back.

A championship performance today from Arsenal against a good Palace side. Gunners are on a mission. They have the front-line talent and the depth to lift multiple trophies come spring.

Don’t let the penalty controversy provide cover for a piss-poor #LFC effort. Outmuscled & out-hustled by Brentford. Fourth consecutive PL loss. Slot banked lots of credit for winning title last season, but he has no answers, and this season is rapidly spiraling out of control.

Have lost track at how many set-piece goals #LFC have conceded.

Even in good times, Brentford away has been a tricky fixture for #LFC. Hopefully Wirtz can build on his last three halves, and Salah can look a bit like his old self.

It took 12 tries, but #LFC played first really good game of season, ending 4-match losing run. Still conceded first & got squat from Isak, but there were lots of good efforts in 5-1 win over Frankfurt. Ekiteke sparkled v former team. He needs to stay in lineup. Palace are fabulous, but their 19-game unbeaten streak ends at Everton following their first European road game midweek. Eagles were out on their collective feet for second half.

Nine games into season, #LFC remain a team w/ no offensive fluidity. Created maybe one decent chance at Galatasaray in 1-0 loss. One player in form, Ekitike, goes off injured. So does Alisson after another Konate gaffe. Tough times for Liverpool. Wirtz looked better, but it’s a low bar right now.

Paul Warfield is 82. He might be a better option than these guys being paid to catch the ball. #Browns

That’s the kind of win that can fuel a title run for Arsenal. Helluva fight back by the Gunners. Meanwhile, Eddie Howe becomes the latest coach to take off his only attacking threats trying to protect a one-goal lead only to blow it.

#LFC deserved nothing from that game. Palace the better team by miles. Should have had 5 or 6 goals if not for Alisson. Allowed 2 set-piece goals, including last-second winner. Glasner improves to 2-0-1 v Liverpool. Palace the embodiment of a team. LFC are a collection of individuals, right now

I understand why Slot wants to look at Wirtz on the wing, but he had better be ready to track back with Daniel Munoz on the prowl. Gakpo is slumping offensively, but he never shirks his defensive responsibilities. #LFC

Crystal Palace is not the best team #LFC have faced thus far, but they are the most well-coached. Oliver Glasner is going to be elsewhere soon enough, but right now he has the Eagles on a 17-game unbeaten run, dating to last season. Big test for Liverpool.

There aren’t many better stopping penalties than Kelleher.
