As a Gen X Canadian, I have, all my life, been sold the idea of American exceptionalism: freedom, truth, justice, etc — in movies, TV, books, and every other type of media. It’s weird to watch it easily fold like a wet newspaper. I guess that’ll make Switzerland the current oldest democracy.

It’s my opinion that calling your reps, signing petitions, peacefully protesting, etc, were all effective ways of combatting fascism in a democracy. But the US is no longer a democracy. The resistance needs to organize.
