This isn't really a hot take but Clair Obscur >>>>>> FF16. Even the FF7 remakes that I love have a lot of soulless corporate filler that just feels like it's trying to reach a quota. Everything in Expedition 33 is actually fun to engage with in some way.

I never heard of Against the Storm before a few days ago but I'm hooked now. I was pretty bored of strategy games because of how long they take but it really has all the interesting complexity without going on for more than an hour or two. That and unlocking a bit of progress every game! 👍👍👍
