This all sounds about as good as we could hope. They mentioned Star Trek several times at yesterday's press event, and while getting the film side going again is clearly a major thrust, care's been taken in the wording to ensure that it will have a future in streaming shows, too.

I remember, about midway through Dragon Age: The Veilguard, I looked to my cats with billowing anxiety. We had a lovely chat. We agreed that the game wasn't selling to expectations because it lacked the shared-world player-engagement features that the market historically craves from BioWare IPs.

Ryan is a fantastic editor and a consummate professional. He can handle everything from lore documentation to the recording-VO pipeline in addition to making your scenes stronger and your voices more consistent.

The way in which today's BioWare blog post comfortingly couches today's layoffs, touting company veterans who are hard at work on the next Mass Effect while silently showing other company veterans the door, is predictably appalling. Best wishes to all those impacted.
