Got a lot done today. Even ventured to the large supermarket - took my youngest with me to keep track of my spending. Now it’s a sit down and some tennis 🎾

Today the heat is just too much for me and the dog. It’s humid and I hate it. Wish we had air conditioning x

Am a proud momma Eldest got her first teaching job. She starts in 2wks teaching English Lit and Lang to 11-16yr olds as well as completing her 2nd degree Youngest got a 2:2 in football coaching and management from UCFB - despite having dyslexia and anxiety The world is theirs x

Bad day. Mental health has plummeted. Kids have been amazing though and the hugs do help. Sadly though, so does the self harming…it’s bad I know, but to feel something other than overwhelming sadness is a blessing

Eldest has just announced that she will not be paying any rent as her uni payments have stopped, so she won’t be paying anything until she gets a job Has left me unable to pay some of the bills - can’t wait until she moans about being cut off from her streaming services and Wi-Fi!

Sitting outside on the balcony with a cuppa is my secret pleasure. Just me and the dog, the quiet, bird song and my time to myself to think…

My eldest is at the O2 to see Doja Cat - not only do I not know who she is, I feel very old indeed!

Today’s big questions….do I do the hoovering, polishing, cleaning today? Or - do I wait until it’s a bit cooler? (Please say wait, it’s too hot to do anything!) x

Busy morning. Collected my meds, then a super quick visit to the hospital for X-rays on both knees (was in and out in 5mins). Then went to village to collect fruit from the grocers, doughnuts from the bakers for the kids Now it’s time for a cuppa out on the balcony before it gets too hot (again) x

Making the most of the limited space we have. This year I’m attempting to grow Italian tomatoes, basil, bell peppers, courgettes, French beans and cherry tomatoes. I also like to have colour for the bees and then there’s the bird feeder…

He likes to smell the flowers and inspect the balcony garden…

Someone hates the heat as much as I do….

Doctors visit this morning - blood pressure is high, upped dose of meds - need to have Xray on both knees due to pain - need new knee braces - weight is mega bad, referred to weight manangment - have chipped bone in elbow, prescribed cream to help swelling So yep, I’m in my prime x

People in education - how is someone who is about to qualify as a teacher meant to get a job when they don’t have any experience? My daughter has had three interviews and got the same reason every time “we loved you, but you don’t have experience”…..

Big #mentalhealth win for me today. Eldest had a teaching interview and whilst she was there I went to Tescos and M&S by myself (I repeat, by myself). Despite crippling anxiety I managed to walk around both stores without drawing too much attention to myself So, go me!!!

No chores to do today. But what’s the odds I actually find some to do! I really need a rest day, my knees are causing mega pain….but there’s no rest for the wicked x

I’ve done all the chores in two hours. Now all my energy has gone - time for a cuppa. Anyone want one?

Have had 2 busy days. Tomorrow is looking the same (05:00 alarm call!). A rest day would be lovely - my knees are mega painful and the mess don’t seem to be working….but I battle on x

Glanced at myself in my daughters full length mirror and hated what I saw. Even though I’m half the size I used to be, I’m still massively overweight. Am determined to get down to a healthy weight (I’ve never been thin). Anybody got any tips/advice? x

Chloe’s friend from high school has started her own cake making business and made her birthday cake for her. I think it’s a lovely cake but at £81 expensive! Chloe was delighted with it and that’s all that matters (she paid for it herself - there’s no way I could afford it). What do you think? x

My eldest is 25 today. Where has the time gone? She’s all the things I could never be - smart, confident, beautiful, a true warrior princess, fearless, a total go getter. She will definitely go on to big things for sure x

I do admire his patience and optimism that there are scraps….still a nope though!
