I do my best work at 3 AM. Roxy the Witch lives on the south west coast of the throneless country, somewhere remote where people can't complain about her experiments. She detests hard work, and specializes in deadly poisons. #pixelart

I decided the Vampire level doesn't have enough variety so I've added these guys to spice things up. If we get all the audio done + some NPC scripting this dungeon could have a playable demo soon so stay tuned :)

Not every enemy needs to have their head pop off at half health and shoot homing lasers outta their eyes Sometimes I just wanna make a funny little guy I can put 10 of in a room without an issue. And I wanna call him "HELMORT"

COOL SWORD. Throw spinning scythe projectile, skilfully stop the scythe on top of enemies for massive damage. ...Except it was WAY WAY WAY too strong. So you have to go pick up the Scythe to throw it again.

I love optional rooms because they let me make evil anxiety inducing room layouts like this. I love making evil shit so much

I woke up at 3 AM and decided to finish the art for this new NPC. Behold! Molly of the Arbalest is a seasoned mercenary looking for easy work in the throneless country. You might be in it for the adventure, but Molly's in it for the money. #pixelart

The addition of the breakable cover mechanic had made this dungeon WAY more dynamic and interesting. The Harpies were really overwhelming before, but now you can split them up for an advantage, and take them out before they break through your cover. It's really fun

The HEADTAKER! An executioner's sword, that marks an enemy for death. The marked enemy takes bonus damage, and if you slay enemies in the order they're marked, you'll be rewarded! ...Is "HEADTAKER" a bit too macabre for Yancy? It's supposed to be spooky scary but it's kind of a gruesome name huh

I'm doing a polish pass on one of the first dungeons I designed and I'm impressed, I anticipated needing to redo most of this area. but I think the level design holds up

My game's main mechanic is that it has a ton of different swords that do different things! You forge swords using a simple crafting system, I have a lot of fun coming up with cool swords and hiding the crafting recipes in the world >:) #indiegamedev #sologamedev #pixelart #gamedev
