Well, it finally happened. Wife ordered a Switch game from Amazon for me as a gift (sold as brand new). What arrived was an empty game case, not even shrink wrapped. Sucks.

We woke up late this morning, and kiddo just went straight into morning snack instead of having a bottle. I think the bottle I fed him yesterday morning might have been his last bottle. And holy damn, that’s hitting hard for some reason. 🥲

My biggest character flaw is that I have like, ten to fifteen solid jokes I will reuse over and over again depending on what the situation requires

Watching The Game Awards with the same mentality of someone whose favorite sports team is “in a rebuilding year.” Maybe we’ll see something cool, who knows? But my expectations are calibrated accordingly

I hate that we have to explain this every year: The TIME "Person of the Year" award is specifically for the BEST person of the year, it means the editors of TIME think this person is objectively better than all other people, that it is their favorite person who they 100% support

Every year it feels more and more like The Game Awards are happening for a very different breed of game player than I am. I think of myself as pretty open-minded about the games I’m willing to try, but 80% of what gets shown usually falls outside those parameters. Maybe I’m just old.

Feels a little insane that we haven’t heard a peep about Hoyo making any game at all available on Switch 2. Maybe that’s actually a blessing in disguise, I don’t need more avenues to pull me back in 😅

One complaint that I *will* lodge against Metroid Prime 4 is that in their quest to make sure the Psychic Beam doesn’t come off as gimmicky and overused, it’s instead used so infrequently that I keep forgetting I have it in my toolkit.

Here’s my spicy-hot, spoiler-free “review” of Metroid Prime 4 Beyond: I’m walking into a store and plonking down $70 to play that video game.

In a world where you can freely interact with strangers at any given point in time, why in the world would you jump into random posts just to be like “actually you’re dumb and I need you to know that I think that” Like. Go do something positive with your free time. Take a breath. Pet a cat.
