I said goodbye to my sweet Luppy yesterday. Of the dozens of cats I’ve known in my life, she was The Smartest. A beauty, a diva, a sweetheart, a friend. 💔

To put it in perspective: I was 24 years old (24!!!), a new mother with stars in her eyes about the future when we were excited about passing the ERA. I was stunned when it didn’t. If I’d known it would just quietly pass on some random day when I was almost 74, I’d have been shocked beyond belief.
