Watched Tim Burton's Batman. Quite liked the sets and the music (already knowing the latter from the LEGO Batman games which I love). Some bits of the movie felt a bit goofy tho, and not in a great way. Kinda took away from it all. Overall it was decent at best imo, hoped for a bit more.

Watched Star Wars: Tales Of The Underworld. Kinda underwhelming imo. The fact that a lot of story has to be condensed into such a small series probably doesn't help, but it all felt a bit simple and surface level. It was ok, but I doubt I'll come back to it in the future.

Watched The Dictator. Very short and in terms of plot kinda weak and all over the place lol. Felt like just an assortment of skits and jokes losely tied together into a narrative. But, the gags did get me a good couple times, so I don't mind it lacking in other elements. Good watch overall.

100%'ed Wolfenstein: Youngblood. Story wasn't as good as the other games and the mechanics were... different; not necessarily better or worse. There were also A LOT of them. The detailed environments, cassette futurism aesthetic and gunplay were still great tho. Overall, alright, but flawed.

Watched Mousehunt. Used to really like this movie when I was younger, so I wanted to give it another watch. Some of the practical effect work holds up surprisingly well. The overall plot and character were pretty good still too. It's a fun watch, I can recommend it.

Thingaling I didading for DougDoug's most recent second channel video. Tried to recreate the meme as closely as possible (but I did have to deviate a bit here and there to make it work as a thumbnail). Posing this was fun lol, happy with how it turned out.

Watched Over The Garden Wall. I liked the old storybook aesthetic, but I'll be honest when I say I didn't really understand the story and its meaning at first, which made it a bit difficult to really get into it. Took some time to learn more about it, and now I can kinda appreciate it.

100%'ed Black Mesa. Great experience. It looked amazing, the gameplay was generally satisfying and I liked how faithful it was to Half-Life, while also expanding upon it. Do wish some setpieces were refined a teeny bit more though, to really drive home the "think to survive" over gunplay element.

Watched Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Bit samey as the first one, but in a bigger and better kind of way. Especially the practical- and special effects and stuntwork were great. Don't know yet how far into the franchise I want to go, we'll see. The first two are definitely a good watch tho.

Watched The Terminator. Been meaning to watch it since forever, finally got around to it. I quite liked it. Especially the premise is interesting. Some of the vfx are obviously a little dated, but to me it only added charm. Reckon I'll like the sequel even more, so I'll watch that soon too.

Watched The Equalizer 3. The morality was presented as very black and white, which made it an easy viewing experience, but also a bit of an average one. Overall it was alright, but I wish the concept of Robert's character was challenged one way or another at some point; would've been interesting.

Watched The Midnight Gospel. While I appreciate what it's trying to do and the messages it's trying to convey, I just couldn't get into it. The animation was nice, but the disjointed podcast vibe simply didn't work for me. (1/2)

Watched Inception. Thought the concepts and themes were incredible and super interesting. It was all quite nicely woven into the plot, but was admittedly a bit hard to follow for me at times, making it lose some of the emotional edge. Still, very unique and thought-provoking film.

Watched Kingmans: The Golden Circle. It felt a but samey as the first one, but it was still pretty good. The action sequences were great and the transitions between scenes were on point. It's just the plot that wasn't anything spectacular. I can recommend it tho, it's a fun watch.

Watched The Expendables. I expected more from it tbh. It could've been a real celebration of classic action movie stars, but it was just boring imo. The action was generic, the characters lacked depth and the plot was mediocre. I might watch the sequels to see if it improves, but can't recommend.

Watched Kingsman: The Secret Service. Great camera work and effects in the action sequences. Gave them a unique energy and flow. The story wasn't anything crazy, but good fun. The characters and the dialogue made it all work very well imo. Good watch, would recommend.

Watched The Prestige. Brilliant film. It provides a really interesting example of how obsession can take over someone's life. Not sure how I felt about the true nature of the Tesla trick, but the grim twist surrounding it more than made up for it. Definitely recommend giving it a watch.

Watched Blade Runner 2049. Visually incredibly impressive. Love how it greatly expanded on the worldbuilding of the franchise. This could also be felt in the story, which posed similar questions as the first, but in a different light and some more. Great watch. A long one, but it had me hooked.

Watched Blade Runner. It poses some interesting questions that are fun to think about. The film itself was a slow burn and a bit confusing at times, but it did have me hooked pretty much the entire way through. Curious about 2049 now, wanna watch that too.

Watched Ready Player One. Visually very impressive and lots of fun fan-service and references, but it lacked in substance. The story was alright, but had little depth. I feel like it had a lot more potential that went untapped. Decent watch, certainly a spectacle, but that's it.

Watched Goodfellas. Interesting film. The story was grounded but being told in a captivating way. I do think I would be able to appreciate it even more if I brushed up on my cinematography knowledge again tho. Still, solid experience, give it a watch.

Watched Men in Black³. A lot better than the second film. I liked the characters more, the plot had a bit more impact and the gags landed way better. I'd say it's about on par with the first film, if not a bit chaotic because of the time travel stuff. Good watch, I can recommend it.

Watched Men In Black II. Plot felt pretty much like a repeat of the first, but weaker. Some sequences felt very awkward and clunky, and not in a comedic way. It also felt like there were fewer setups and payoffs, which made it feel a bit simple and lazy. It's mediocre at best imo.

Watched Men In Black. Fun premise. The film is a little short tho and the plot not as exciting as it maybe could be for the concept, but it's fine. Hoping to find that extra depth in the sequels, which I'm planning on watching too. I can recommend it, it's pretty good.

Watched The Dark Tower. Some of its concepts had potential, but it all ultimately fell short. It was too short, too verbose, tried too hard to be cool and edgy, and the plot lacked excitement and depth. Really wished more of it, but it was kinda mediocre. Can't really recommend.

Watched Spider-Man 3. The plot was a bit all over the place and not as solid as the previous two films, but I still enjoyed it. The emo-Peter scenes were stupid but hilarious at the same time. Overall, good trilogy. Might watch Spiderverse sometime too now.

Watched Spider-Man 2. It was similarly campy to the first one, but as I mentioned for that one, I kinda vibed with it. I'd say it's about on par with the first one; from the action, to the story, to the energy and memes. Another good watch, one more to go.

Watched Spider-Man. It's a little dumb lol (not helped by the number of memes it spawned), but in a fun way. It's by no means an exceptional film, but I very much enjoyed myself. Some sequences gave me a good chuckle. Definitely gonna watch the rest of the Raimi trilogy.

Watched The Grand Budapest Hotel. Even though it's not really my thing, I can appreciate its unique artistic presentation; with everything shot like it's a stageplay. The film also surprised me a couple times in it's story and sequences, which was fun. Good watch overall.

Watched The Truman Show. Bonkers concept I really vibe with. I really quite liked the film, but I have to be honest and say I wish liked it even more. Still, great watch for when you want to question the reality of things and whatnot.

Watched Shaun Of The Dead. Brilliant bit of directive and writing work, especially the first act. Really liked how horror clichés were used for setups and gags. The second half was not as strong, but still pretty damn good. Normally too scared for horror stuff, but this one was great for me.

Watched V For Vendetta. Good film. Kinda ridiculous in places, but it had interesting theming and presentation; V's mysterious and chaotic good character being a clear stand out. Great watch, would recommend.

Watched The Matrix: Revolutions. Good way to cap off the trilogy. The first of the three movies was definitely the best in my opinion. The second and third were still good, but a bit more convoluted in places. All in all, a great watch. Might look into some of the other Matrix media too...

Watched Lock, Stock, And Two Smoking Barrels. I'll be honest, I couldn't get into it. The whole film was so unbelievably monotone. It might be an artistic choice, but it made the film a drag to watch. It had a decent plot, but it didn't make up for its shortcomings. Can't personally recommend it.

Watched The Matrix: Reloaded. Hard to judge it on its own, knowing it ties into a larger story. There were a couple scenes that were very good tho, I can say that. Overall, it was good and had me invested, but it didn't blow me away. Hoping the last film will make everything fall into place.

Watched The Matrix. I fuck with it. Hard. Love the 90s retrofuture aesthetics. The concepts and themes are super well put together and explained; very tight worldbuilding. Also, the practical effects and camera work are incredible impressive even today. Very curious about the rest.

Watched American Sniper. Idk, I didn't care too much for it. The story and concept were fine, but the raw emotion and depth was lacking. I know it's based on a "true" story, so I shouldn't expect crazy cinematic scenarios, but still... It was alright, not much more than that.

Watched Ransom. Great thriller with an interesting concept and dynamic. Really liked the plot and the writing, it all felt very solid and cleverly put together. It was maybe a little slow and there wasn't much action, but I didn't mind and it worked fine for the film. Would recommend.

Watched District 9. Incredibly messed up film, but in an interesting and unique kind of way. The excessive violence and documentary- and handheld style gave it an indie vibe, of which I'm not sure it worked for the whole film, but provided a novel experience nonetheless. All in all, great watch.

Watched Die Hard. Really liked the slower pacing and the dynamic between McClane and the antagonists; them being genuinely competent adversaries and not just cannon fodder for the hero. It felt fairly grounded and believable. Very good watch, a classic I can get behind.

Watched Uncut Gems. Really quite good film. The frequent chaos in the dialogue and cinematography gave it a unique intensity and energy. And the character of Howard (who Adam Sandler portrayed in a frankly impressive way) was interesting to follow. Great experience, I'd recommend it.

Watched Scarface. Interesting story, but I feel like the cinematography is a bit dated and holds the film back in places. The score was also just not very good in my opinion. It didn't add much to scenes. That said, it's a decent character study. Give it a try, maybe I'm just uncultured lol.

Watched Independence Day. Fun movie, very much big budget blockbuster vibes, but not in a bad way. It had a bit of everything, making it feel like one big experience. Nothing in the film is like insanely amazing, but still quite good. Good watch, consider giving it a try if you haven't yet.

Watched Cowboy Bebop: The Movie. Honestly, I was a bit underwhelmed. I know the whole series is kinda known for its focus on character and subtle messaging, but it just felt kinda simple. The animation was stellar tho, especially the action sequences. Maybe it's just not quite my thing, idk.

Watched Collateral. Really liked the dynamic between the main characters and the way Vincent was written. The story was pretty good too, making it a fairly great movie overall. Interesting film, would recommend.
