It's fascinating to me on how level design was like back then, especially since most people nowadays are spoiled by Doom Builder and Trenchbroom. Meanwhile games like Take No Prisoners and Mageslayer had levels made using 3D Studio Max.

Progress so far on making a new So Dakki model. While it is low poly, I haven't made it for any game in mind. I am liking the progress so far. I will say that I am getting better at hair and UV mapping. The topology for arms and legs were taken care of before UV/texturing. #houshinengi

I heard about the passing of Rebecca Heineman due to aggressive lung cancer. She was known for porting Wolfenstein 3D to the Apple Macintosh and the Panasonic 3DO. (Labeled as Mac Family versions) She went through porting Doom to the 3DO by herself despite questionable management. {1/2}

I present a redraw of So Dakki from Soul Hunter (Senkaiden Houshin Engi) mainly to point out the errors that even fanarts tend to catch. Hopefully this should help artists if one were to draw the 1999 version of Dakki.

It's very nice to see Classic Gaming Arena getting mentioned and being used outside of the DOSBox Deathmatch Club community. AFAIK most of the activity came from there since 2022, but I will say that if you love vintage computers, there is a Windows 9x client you can use. (no DOSBox required!)

I will say it. Increasing your game price doesn't always guarantee great amount of sales and reception. If Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection costs the same as recent MK games but gets mixed reviews then I have a gut feeling future remasters will decline at some point (outside of consoles)
