🧠 More paraquat, more Parkinson’s. 👎 The United States has been INCREASING the amount of paraquat it imports over the past 8 years. Paraquat is a pesticide that’s linked with Parkinson’s disease. It’s banned or restricted in many other countries, including China, the UK, and the EU.

Whattt?? 👶 A new study tested some infant clothing (43 garments) and identified 303 different chemicals in them—from traces of pesticides to prescription drugs. Yes, the antidepressant venlafaxine appeared in more than half of all garments tested!

Hormone disruptors and prostate cancer. ♂ A new review of over 500 studies found another link between exposure to everyday endocrine-disrupting chemicals (like those in plastics and pesticides) to the development of prostate cancer.

🐁 Add it to the growing body of research on glyphosate being toxic. 👉 A new study on mice found that even small amounts (consistent with real-world dietary intake) of prenatal glyphosate exposure can harm gut health, disrupt metabolism, and change behavior.

🔥 The EU is removing PFAS from firefighting foam. They’re on a 10-year phase-out plan to remove these toxic chemicals from everything from portable fire extinguishers all the way to high-risk sites storing large amounts of flammable liquids.

🍒 Walmart says it will be removing artificial dyes from their private-label foods (such as Great Value and bettergoods) by 2027.

💸 Johnson & Johnson lost its most recent talc lawsuit. A jury says the company has to pay $966 million to the family of a woman who died from mesothelioma after she used J&J’s talc baby powder for years. (Talc is often contaminated with asbestos, which causes mesothelioma.)
