Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of joining Minister Diab at the MacBride Museum for a citizenship ceremony welcoming 16 new Canadians from five different countries who now call the Yukon home.

I had the honour of presenting Ulus to some talented biathletes at the new Biathlon facility — such impressive talent all around!

It was a special day in the office last week when I was able to present Gina Nagano with the King Charles III Coronation Medal for her significant contributions to Canada, and particularly the Yukon, with Senator Pat Duncan and some of Gina’s VIP’s in attendance.

Still buzzing from Arctic Winter Games Opening Ceremony! The atmosphere was electric, the performances were incredible, and it was amazing to see our community come together in such a powerful way.

Yesterday in Whitehorse, I was proud to join Secretary of State Buckley Belanger to highlight the new Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit - a targeted measure designed to help Canadians manage the rising cost of groceries and everyday essentials.

Our government has launched new funding opportunities to strengthen trade routes and invest in Arctic infrastructure.

Tax season is officially underway! 🇨🇦 Most Canadians have until April 30 to file their income tax returns. Filing early helps you avoid last-minute stress, reduce the risk of penalties, and receive the benefits and credits you’re entitled to as soon as possible.

At Rendezvous over the weekend, I had the chance to speak with members of the Yukon Rangers and learn more about the work members are doing as part of Operation Nanook–Nunalivut.

Arctic Summit 2026 brought northern and circumpolar leaders together at a pivotal moment for our region. As geopolitical pressures grow and economic uncertainty deepens, the Arctic is no longer peripheral - it is central to Canada’s security and future prosperity.

All eyes are on the Arctic, and it is essential that conversations on Arctic security remain grounded in partnership with those who have always protected this land. Arctic security depends on strong communities, local capacity, and meaningful collaboration with Indigenous Peoples across the North.

I was so grateful to break cabin fever and celebrate Rendezvous this past week! Rendezvous brings us together, as the daylight starts to return, to laugh, reconnect, and celebrate the beginning of the end of a long, cold winter.

Yesterday’s announcement was about building more quality homes for Yukoners - and building them efficiently here at home.

This week in Whitehorse, I was pleased to host Minister Alty, Minister Chartrand, and Parliamentary Secretary Lavack.

On behalf of the Honourable Marjorie Michel, Minister of Health, I was able to celebrate two announcements alongside the Honourable Rebecca Alty, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations, and Grand Chief Math'ieya Alatini at Council of Yukon First Nations (CYFN) this afternoon.

Yesterday, I hosted a roundtable in Whitehorse on strengthening federal leadership in emergency management.  We discussed strengthening the federal role, improving coordination, building local capacity, addressing climate-related risks, and enhancing public preparedness.

Proud to celebrate the completion of the upgraded Biathlon Yukon facility — a place where athletes like Olympian @nadihaamoser got their start, and where a lifelong love of sport is built.

A look back at my visit to Nuuk, where a major commitment of our Arctic Foreign Policy was realized with the official opening of Canada’s consulate. Our government remains focused on a secure Arctic and on strengthening Canada’s presence and partnerships in the North.

Last week, I was thrilled to host the Secretary of State (International Development), the Honourable Sarai, here in the Yukon during International Development Week!

Every February 15, we celebrate National Flag of Canada Day! Since it was first raised in 1965, this national emblem has been the pride of Canadians and a symbol of our shared values: democracy, unity, and equity.

Grateful to the Yukon’s TELIYA International for bringing the Yukon African Music Festival to life and celebrating the richness and diversity of African culture in our territory and around the world. It was wonderful to join everyone at Mount Mc and share the moment with Minister Sarai.

Congratulations to Team #Canada as your #Olympic journey begins today. From the Yukon and across our country, you carry the support of your coaches, families, and 41 million Canadians united behind you. Wear the maple leaf with pride, savour every second, and make sure to have fun!

This weekend is the Yukon African Music Festival — hope to see you there! As we mark International Development Week and Black History Month, it’s a joy to celebrate African culture through music, dance, and community.

It was great to see Premier Currie Dixon on his first trip to Ottawa as Premier this week! Inter-governmental relationships are key to ensuring key priorities are focused on and addressed in collaboration to build a thriving #Yukon.

Back in Ottawa as Parliament resumes, and straight to work. I bring the Yukon's tenacity and contributions to Ottawa.

Good news! With $7.36 million in federal support through the National School Food Program, the Government of Yukon is moving ahead with a hot lunch pilot in seven Whitehorse and rural schools.

Canada was founded on these choices.

Now is the time to fight for our values.

This week I was grateful to visit with two local businesses in Whitehorse who are working hard to meet the needs of the community and push boundaries on what’s possible.

I had a great trip to Watson Lake this week, and enjoyed the extra time I got to spend there! From visiting the school with Hope, to meeting with the Liard Aboriginal Women’s Society, to chatting with Mayor and Council, I was pleased to be out in the community and connect with so many people.

The #CanadaStrongPass has been extended Dec 12–Jan 15, offering free or reduced admission to incredible sites in Canada - including the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre here in Whitehorse.

Last week, Minister Chartrand announced the Regional Defence Investment Initiative (RDII) through CanNor. Through this national program, CanNor will deliver up to $40,5 million to help northern businesses expand their capacity and connect to national and international defence supply chains.
