Just listened to maro's podcast on hybrid in commander, and rarely have I disagreed with something more. He basically says that it doesn't work as designed, and that's bad. I say yeah, it doesn't work as designed, because commander is a weird little corner of the game, and it should be like that.

Just seen the original Child's Play. Weirdly good, but not scary at all. Feels a bit like a movie with no audience, too tame for horror fans, to horror coded for others... Is it just baby's first horror movie? Was it intended to be that?

I see all these people so hyped about the FF magic set, and I just can't care. All I see is cards that look nothing like magic cards, and I have zero nostalgia triggers at all, having never played any of those games.

With how advanced tech seems now on Avishkar toake the "steam" even more inaccurate than at its birth with aether, and the new consulate making the "punk" angle kinda moot, magic could really need a new take on a steampunk plane.

In the second episode on C11, @shivambhatt.bsky.social is being sad that Hydra Omnivore isn't worded in a way that's neat with white cards for combat damage. I, Gruul player, want to hold against this that the way it's worded now instead makes it apply quadruple damage via a single Furnace of Rath.
