Of course even though Gary is the most notable tornado of June 28th 2025, we cannot forget about the predecessor before the main course. Clear Lake was a beautiful dynamic pipe EF-2 that fortunately stayed over rural areas and missed the town by a few miles northwest!

This weak EF-0 tornado that I documented on 4/14/26 about 3-4 miles southeast of Eldora, IA occurred very close to the infamous house that was featured on Twister during the F5 scene! What an insane discovery!!!

ON THIS DAY 5 years ago on March 25, 2021, I documented my first ever HIGH risk tornado near Eutaw, AL. This tornado was rated an EF-1. Part of a substantial tornado outbreak that produced multiple strong to violent tornadoes in Alabama & Georgia.

#OTD one year ago, I documented the PI day tornado outbreak of March 14, 2025. I documented a total of 9 tornadoes that night including a 119 mile long EF-4 tornado. Part of a major, widespread multi day outbreak that impacted the midwest and the southeast.

Looks like the next chance of severe weather returns this Sunday (3/15) for portions of the MS/OH/TN Valley regions. Magnitude of this setup will depend on how much moisture return we get from the gulf along with instability in a strongly kinematic environment. Will watch for storm chase potential.

Opted out on today’s chase in Illinois. I am currently working on upgrading on equipment that will not only change how I storm chase but improve how I chase (new vehicle, cameras, filming, software etc.) I’m pretty excited for the future storm chasing wise.

Aborting mission. I’m going home. Got in the circulation near Chelsea, OK. Didn’t see anything on the ground. Roads were abysmal and nearly got into a wreck because of a curve that was impossible to see because of blinding rain/RFD and trees. Worst two days of chasing I’ve ever had.

According to NWSLincoln this was an EF-0 tornado that crossed hwy 33 in front of us. It mainly caused tree damage. This was before we documented the Flat Woods, IL EF-1 tornado not long after we dropped this tornado warned cell. Have now documented two tornadoes from 2/19 tornado outbreak. #ilwx

One year ago, I finally chased my first ever hurricane. It’s name was Helene. At this time, I didn’t realize how notorious Helene would go on to be, especially post landfall in North Carolina.

This place is far better than Twitter and the scumbag who runs it. I wish chasers & enthusiasts would migrate here and not stay on that cesspool site. Nighttime thoughts.
