Last commute of the behind me. That’s the working year done; but f*ck me, it didn’t wanna let go. Urgent doings cropped up literally as I had one foot out the door. But for better or for worse, all done. Just short of a couple of weeks of professional napping and grazing

Colleague has sloped off early so I need to cover his work. So 100% of my remaining working year is in Henley. On the upside, seems like the rest of the working world is sloped off as well because there were no cars on my journey over!

I was talking to French girl who lived Berlin for a while. My German is…functional but..I spent the Millennium in Berlin; amazing experience but I went to a party once, as I approached everyone rippled in to English. It’s hard to improve your German as a tourist as their English is so much better

It’s interesting what ppl consider hygienic or clean. I’m fond of my wife but she (like many) seems to associate perfumes (v natural smells) as “clean”. She’s discovered a new fabric softener but drying it is giving off a weird artificial smell and is setting off my asthma and my migraine.
