#histscalemodels #scalemodels Didn’t realize that the front cowlings on these planes with Bristol engines was actually the exhaust collector. Pretty clever. Replicating it was a fun challenge. Also most of the way through painting the underside.

#histscalemodels #scalemodels Okay, this Tamiya Beaufighter isn’t the most detailed or scale thing but the worst “feature” in modeling is a clear canopy hatch with thick clear plastic and a huge ledge that can’t easily be hidden. About a quarter of the build time so far has been fixing the canopy!
