Yesterday, we had a great conference on reparations and restitution at the University of Brighton. I presented a paper (co-authored with Manuel Serrano) on the possible responsibilities of private individuals to return territory acquired as a result of historical injustice.

End of semester. I taught Rawls' ToJ & Feinberg's Harm to Others. I thought some of the topics were outdated. I was wrong. We seem to have forgotten that natural talents and initial social positions are undeserved, and that sexual orientation has nothing to do with the likelihood to commit crimes.
