Say what you will about President Trump, he's managed to convince a YUGE segment of the US pop that countless billions THEY are/will be paying on nearly everything they buy is a good thing. That the billions being vacuumed directly out of their pockets & the economy, into government coffers is good.

Because 1% of fentanyl entering the US comes from Canada, the US will apply 35% tariffs to Canada. Because 99% of fentanyl entering the US comes from Mexico, the US will apply 30% tariffs on Mexico. I'm no math scientist but the reason for these illegal tariffs seems sus. The math doesn't math.

So it appears that August first most Countries will get stuck with tariffs of 10-30% but Canada will be hit with 35% that will rise higher if Canada retaliates in any way. Looks like the months of negotiations are really paying off. /s The Extortionist & Chief.
