Finally getting a second to post about BETT26. This year for me was all about connection, creativity, catalyst (and Canva) - already this week plans have started to be put into action! 💭

The festive crafts are fully underway in our house. One cardboard ‘gingerbread’ house a day until December. With the added bonus of REALLY helping make space in the recycling bins. Recycled cardboard, scissors and a white marker or chalk pen (or paint) and you’re good to go. 📦✂️✏️

The final day of DLLW25 was an absolute belter. Esteemed guests Steve Munby and Dan Fitzpatrick working with leaders and educators to explore possible futures and encourage progress over perfection. Strong messages and plenty of food for thought. 🧠💭

Day 3 of DLLW25 has been all about creativity with Nicole and Ruth from Adobe. Exploring Adobe Express and AI to design our own handbags 👜 , greenhouses 🌱, cars 🚗 , holiday homes 🏡 and cosy classrooms 👩🏻‍🏫! We had a wonderful time with @stfrancisxaviers.bsky.social Pupil Digital Leaders on Tuesday as they participated in some AI research. Some fab ideas designing helpful AI, from playground safety bots to automatic test marking machines, voice activated typing arms and inclusive translators. 🤖

Reading challenge for 2024 complete! 🙌 60/60 and managed to keep on top of collecting my favourite quote from each book. Feeling mighty pleased with myself and all that. My favourite book of the year? Chain-Gang All-Stars by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah. 📖

Last week there was quite a lot of chat in various places about QR codes made of Lego. So obviously this is what I’ve spent most of my Saturday doing. Very fun, very mathematical, LOTS of problem solving. 🙌

I am beyond delighted with this. Every Wednesday after school throughout last session was VERY well spent. 🙌

And of the 36 books of the year so far this set had some questionable but fun ones, a terrifying re-read, a perspective shifter and the one that stared a mild witchcraft obsession. 🧙‍♀️

Then I went through what I’m now calling my Blue Cover Period. This crop has my FAVOURITE book of the year so far. ⛓️💫

I’m 36 books deep into the year and I’ve been collecting my favourite quotes from each as I’ve been going along. Started off strong with these lot, one of which made me feel as an adult how I felt as a child reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the first time. 🍫🏭💭🏬
