I was advised to remove a part of my presentation that discussed a survey conducted in NYC that found 48% of homeless LGBT youths and those who engage in same sex sexual relations had practiced survival sex because it was "too jarring". BRO HOW DO YOU THINK THEY FELT HAVING TO DO IT??

Oh, and I'm going to hell for supporting my trans wife. I was told if she loves me, she'd detransition for me. Except I don't want her to detransition 🥴 I want her to be happy no matter her gender identity.

Hands down, the dumbest thing I've ever been told is that my wife isn't trans, she's just that way because she was raised by a single mom. Like???? What????

ASHP Ped SAG has asked me and my co-presenter to give a condensed version of the topic we presented in December! I'm so honored, especially with current events, to be given the platform to discuss the health disparities within the lgbt pediatrics. Education is the first step to understanding.

I appreciate authors including trigger warnings at the beginning of their books 🙌 please let this become more standard versus having a triggering scene show up unexpectedly💕
