As we close out #NJFilm 2025, I am so proud to reflect on incredible progress of #FilmReadyNewJersey! 🎥 This year, we welcomed 31 new Film Ready localities bringing total to 53 certified to host film & TV projects with streamlined permitting & trained liaisons.

As 2025 comes to a close, reflecting on what an incredible year working in #NJFilm’s booming film & TV scene. From bustling sets in Moonachie & Middletown to shoots across the state, I've had the privilege of collaborating with so many talented directors, actors, crew members & producers.

Beyond thrilled to work with you to stay #CreativelySane. Let’s not stop.

Good for NJ. This isn't surprising considering that the original "Hollywood" was in NJ. It was the filmmaking capital of the US until the 1920's. 20th Century Fox & Universal were born in NJ. NJ's role in pioneering filmmaking is crucial to film history.

#NJFilm has built a robust, collaborative system with other state agencies to support film & TV productions. Particularly evident in partnerships with the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Recently helped facilitate was Steven Spielberg's upcoming 2026 film “Disclosure Day.”

What a bittersweet milestone - Doug LeClaire hosted his final NY Production Holiday Party after 35 incredible years of bringing the production and crew community together.

I didn’t read the book THE HOUSEMAID, 📖 but LOVED the movie. 🍿 I had a great time at the premiere and was beyond thrilled to see #NJFilm all over the screen. The production spent approximately $46.3 million in the state.

More exciting news for #NJFilm! Lionsgate is building a state-of-the-art, full-service film and television production studio – a $125 million investment that will transform the 12-acre site of the former Seth Boyden Housing complex into a world-class creative hub.

I just love when I walk around these big box stores and see a book that was turned into a movie that was made in #NJFilm. It was exciting to help facilitate the filming of THE HOUSEMAID with my NJ Film Commissioner Janice Kovach. Only in theaters on December 16th.

Last night, the Cranford Theater hosted a grand reopening with members of the local and film community in attendance. It was a celebration of Cranford Theater and owner Doreen Sayegh’s commitment to cinema.

The more of these yellow signs I see all over Jersey, the happier I get. 🤩 🎬 It means another show or movie is shooting right now. Real crews, real jobs, real money getting spent at local diners, hardware stores, coffee shops and mom and pop businesses.

Thrilled doesn’t even begin to cover it. When I decided to throw our little kids TV pilot “Arthur Futuro” into the festival circuit again with the “Stage to Screen Film Festival,” I honestly just wanted a handful of people to see it and smile. Today we picked up its 19th award. 🏆✨

🚙 What an incredible few days at the 2025 New Jersey League of Municipalities Conference in Atlantic City! Grateful for countless conversations, new connections & renewed partnerships with mayors, council members & administrators who are about making #NJFilm an even better place to work. 🎥
