I'm strangely excited about the return of console exclusivity. Availability is customer friendly, but exclusives is how consoles fight over who gets to take 30% from everyone else. Microsoft has been weak, letting Sony be passive, but if they start fighting, the end result is banger video games.

I've never really jived that well with build-slop, but for some reason the Octopath series just does it for me. I think it's something about the boost system that just makes it super easy to see a path towards a broken build that beats any fight in four turns, and breaking games is just fun.

Just beat Ghost Trick. Very fun to play some proper reveal-slop again. It really scratches that Ace Attorney itch. Would recommend.

The Knightling has so much going for it. So many fun mechanics, so much whimsy and joy. It has most of the ingredients needed to be one of those rare games I just plain love. It's also littered with very annoying design decisions that I'm trying my best to stomach, but it's really getting to me.

Now that I've gotten every banana and fossile in Donkey Kong Bananza I'm finally qualified to review it. Game's fun. Smashing thing is fun. I hope I never see these smahing mechanics ever again. Digging around looking for Bananas is just not as fun as searching for Moons in Odyssey.

Donkey Kong Bananza is sick, but you have to much power to allow any challange to have identity, and the world is too mallable to allow any moment to stand out. That said I do enjoy punching the world.

We've just finished turning JETRUNNER's most boring environment into a work of art. The third world in JETRUNNER spans ten floors of a giant skyscraper. You climb higher with every level. Sick concept, but the levels themselves were just white pillars resting in water. Solution? Parks everywhere.

You know what they say about hiring professionals to do your capsule art? Yeah, people are not joking, it's just a good idea. Way better than just tossing stuff we have in engine together and hoping for the best.

Replayed Journey the other day. First time in 10 years. But this time, I journeyed alone. My first playthrough was defined by comradery, and I thought the game would be naked without it. But when "alone" it becomes a new story about how you're never truly alone, because we are one with the world.
