My new secret to writing is that I don't have to write, I only have to read. Once the kids are off, I force myself to sit down with a book and begin and, so far, within a few minutes, I want to write. There is no rule about quitting. I'm actually getting very little reading done.

I seem to only be able to finish something when I force myself into a word count constraint, thus the project just grows indefinitely.
