A small plane made an emergency landing in a driveway in the 10100 block of Olalla Vally Rd. SE Monday afternoon. The pilot was not injured and no one on the ground was hurt. The plane is a home-built aircraft that was damaged in the crash. The FAA will investigate the incident.

We need your help to find Simon Anderson. He is 48 years old and is high-functioning autistic and may be lost. Anderson is a White male, 6 feet tall, thin, with short brown hair. He was last seen at 5:37 am at Chevron on Riddell and SR 303 on foot. 1/2 🧵

On Patrol: Armed Suspect Search

An in-custody death in the Kitsap County Jail is undergoing an independent investigation by the Port Orchard Police Department. The Kitsap County Medical Examiner's Office will confirm the identity of the deceased and determine the cause and manner of death.

Eric Gross is now in custody. The search is concluded. Expect Deputies and Detectives to be working in the area for several hours, however the impact on traffic will not be restrictive. Thank all of you for your patience as our Deputies work to resolve this with no one hurt.

The search has moved to the Erlands Point area near Chico Bay and Dyes Inlet. A King County Sheriff's helicopter is on its way to the scene to assist. There will also be law enforcement drones flying over the search area. Do not fly any civilian drones near this area while the search is underway.

Deputies are searching for 55-year-old Eric Gross in the vicinity of Chico Way and State Highway 3. Please avoid the area and expect traffic to impact a large area near there for some time. Gross is suspected of pulling a firearm on law enforcement and has active felony warrants. Updates soon.
