Having already taken a number of special journeys on the line over the 18 months before official opening, yesterday was our first proper 'passenger trip' to Ashington. And, my word - if ever the "if you build it, they will come" adage held true, the images speak for themselves!

Today is a very special day! After more than a 60 year gap since the 2nd of November 1964, the first official Passenger trains commenced running again on the Northumberland line. Here's some images of the first Seaton Deleval to Ashington service (courtesy of Lee Calder).
