I was setting up a shot with the 4x5 this last weekend when a man and his wife came up and started asking me about it. I continued setting the camera up while I explained how it worked. And at the end if you thank me and gave me this. It's a 1948 one. Penny.

Shooting a Pentax 6x7 you almost have to rely on eBay from Japan. Just found out that at the end of August it doesn't matter what the value is, everything is now subject to tariffs. My $165 lens had a tariff of $35. So glad I got my camera and everything else before it kicked in

We decided to go up to Rocky mountain national Park just for the night this weekend. We're going to be car camping since it's such a short trip. The temperatures on Saturday are supposed to be 57/ 38 with rain and then Sunday 58/42 with no rain. Could be interesting. 4x5 and 6x7 in tow.

Hey there... So I have a roll of b&w in my camera that I need to get out before next weekend when we go up to the mountains. Hoping for color. Problem is the amount of smoke sitting on top of us. Anyone have a suggestion for shooting in that haze?

First image was taken with a Mamiya 645. Next was 4x5 and the last two were taken with a Canon 7D. All the film was #Ilford FP4 All from about 6-7 years ago

I've been breaking my cameras out and starting to shoot again, I wanted a couple of new camera bags. I found soft sided coolers that are perfect. One is holding a Pentax MX and LX with a couple of smaller lenses and he other has a Pentax 6x7 and a 300 mm lens. Plus film in both

So I finally found a Pentax 6x7 that looks like it's in pretty good shape and has a lens with it. It was about as affordable as I've been able to find. Just happen to have about 14 15 rolls of 120 laying around. I'm sure it's all out of date but I'm just happy that I'm getting another 6x7

The kids got us this three-tier planter as a gift. You water it from inside the top and it has small irrigation holes in it On the top and bottom. We alternated flowers and strawberries and then in the middle we did all strawberries. I used bare root strawberries so we'll see how it goes

Our son and his wife adopted the 14 yo foster child they have had in the house for the last 14 months In short, I became a grandfather. We are so excited to have him in the family

I have a friend who is retiring from UCLA/ NASA. She was telling me in the scientific part of NASA, their budget has been cut 50%. She was in the science part of it so she's retiring at the right time. I could be wrong but I think science is one of the primary things that takes us into space
