Kal'tsit gives Crownslayer a life-changing monologue her guilt and regret had been cooking for years, and Projekt Red is over here yawning. That is hilariously disrespectful.

The AMa-10 devlog says Oracle made Kal'tsit able to swear so she could fully express negative emotions (implicitly: like a human). Kal'tsit swears in JT8-3 out of concern for Amiya collapsing, and in 15-17 to spite Priestess.

Priestess' codependence with Oracle may be based on them seeing hope where none should be, leading to a cruel (Spes) cycle of sacrifice and disappointment. She preached the silence of the gods (15-12), settling for lesser hope (15-15), but wants Oracle's hope to be proven despite everything (EG-11).

Warfarin fakes a worrying health report to try to get Closure to give her funding. That's a fun dynamic. And she reveals that she keeps the money she overcharges as secret emergency funds.

When you appoint Closure as your assistant, the first thing she does is ask to take a nap in your office. I like when the dialogue acknowledges that it doesn't make sense to have certain operators as your assistants.

As regressive as Vampire purity culture is, it's an expected outgrowth of them feeding on blood, which easily carries diseases, and having senses sharp enough to detect traces of specific substances (diseases, machine oil) in others' blood. Much of the world must smell overwhelming and unclean.

Closure canonically charges you the 180k LMD to E2 a 6-star, treating it as reimbursement for the learning materials that shaped her. Fair enough; she's worth way more than that for being able to restore and later replace PRTS alone.

Closure's "open source" philosophy is her rebellion against Vampire culture, which is hierarchical, purity-obsessed, stingy with knowledge, and resistant to change. She's also a cyberoptimist in a setting where the internet isn't doomed.

Closure paywalls her files, but the head of HR freely shares ways to hack into the files. It'll be funny if we get the head of HR as an operator and her codename is still "■■■".

Kal'tsit2's codename being Esperanta, the "hope" of a universal language, is her way of continuing Babel's legacy, the Tower of Babel having had a universal language. Using a linguistic theory against Priestess is her humor and enduring defiance.

I think Arknights shows that being an idealist requires that something in you is broken that reflects how the world is broken, so fixing your part of the world and healing yourself are the same. Hope is a question of if and why you won't give up on a better tomorrow for yourself and the world.

Kal'tsit2 S3's description implies she gets the redeploy summon on skill activation (contrasted with Exu2 S3), which could make her ridiculous with SP buffs.

Theresa made a dreamer out of Kal'tsit. Kal'tsit went from dismissing dreams as lies and illusions, to forming her own before she knew it, to finally taking Theresa's dream as her own.

Oh, my heart... Amiya was plagued by nightmares of the crown's memories after first getting the crown, and Kal'tsit initially gave her the rings so she could fall into peaceful slumber, but Amiya was hesitant to let go of the nightmares since they were her only way of seeing Theresa.

Kal'tsit got Infected soon after her revival in 899. Left is her chained in Theresa's dungeon (it should've been me), right is when Theresa first explains her dream of curing Oripathy, probably days apart. It was probably atonement, given her carefulness.

Kal'tsit's module story got into part 3 of the manga, and their expressions make it maximum enemies-to-lovers yuri.

Babel-era Kaldoc: most human machine x most machinic human. Kal'tsit loved and idolized them but came to wonder which of them was the machine. Oracle, in maybe their last defiance of Priestess, set Kal'tsit free, which Kal'tsit believes cost them their own freedom, which must inspire horrible guilt.

Kal'tsit saving and adopting children is the best part of her character. I'm so glad they worked that into how she chose to be a lynx. It probably gave her hope about interspecies unity (or at least peaceful coexistence), hope that would take millennia to be broken down.

Kal'tsit, after outliving everyone for millennia, probably sort of assumed she would be around until Terra died. When revived, they should explore her newfound sense of mortality and how it affects her identity, sense of responsibility, and how she wants to use what relatively little time she has.

Eblana's new skin is what a royal dragon necromancer deserves. Her swimsuit skin did not work for her at all. I don't like Eblana but every character should get a skin that plays into what makes them them.

Terran science is so anachronistic. Because of the Starpod they have virtually no cosmology, but Kristen and Clooney specialized in high-energy physics. This civilization probably got quantum field theory before universal gravitation.

After rewatching PV4, Retracing Our Steps missed the chance to end with the observatory reporting, "Look, the stars. They're closer now, aren't they?" The Starpod scrambles star patterns (per Kristen) to hide Terra, so it would've been more ominous than the meteor simply announcing impending doom.

Toxic codependent yuri Theresa x Doctor where Doctor is too pathetic to refuse the company of the woman she's going to betray and Theresa Knows™ but loves her anyway and believes in her way too much. Her continued undeserved kindness is her defiance against the Doctor's fate and her own.

We need more lore about how Terrans understand their humanity as uplifted animals. They know natural selection so should know they can't have come from it. No fossil record, convergent from multiple clades (some, like cats, still extant), old myths describing their pre-uplifted ancestors.

Kal'tsit being paranoid about the Doctor hiding their intentions is funny in a sad sort of way when the Doctor is canonically autistic and probably just that bad at expressing their intentions.

Kjera's self-consciousness about her appearance is way funnier because she's a giant ice worm. It would be particularly funny if it stemmed from reading way too much into younger Enya liking a thin-faced girl before she realized she was gay.

If the Doctor went to Theresa as she lay dying because they wanted her to kill them, that was their last act of cruelty; she couldn't spare them but couldn't bear more bloodshed. Her dying act was to find a third way in a dilemma so that the Doctor would get the chance to find a third way in theirs.

Oh wow Civilight Eterna's skin greets you with, "Done with your break? Doctor, if you were here that's what I'd say to you. If you were still here." The Doctor of Rhodes Island and Civlight Eterna both inherited the likeness and personality of individuals that are gone and can only be mourned.

I'm listening to Civilight Eterna's skin lines, and the delivery on talk 3 with "but I couldn't do it (sigh) and I couldn't bring myself to tell him why" is immaculate and heartbreaking.

It just dawned on me that Savage is probably like 30 since she's known the Doctor for 10 years (1090 - 1101) at this point. One of very few from the Babel era that hasn't died, left, or changed drastically. She's been one of the Doctor's anchors to Terra for all that time, steady and consistent.

Narantuya has this very specific vibe to me that's like "thinks she's a top, always ends up on bottom, keeps coming back and insisting she'll top this time". The last part is what makes her so endearing.

IS5 ED2 is so depressing because Kal'tsit un-earns her name because Theresis stopped Theresa from showing mercy. She's split from her other half, kept as a prisoner, and even Oracle, who gave her her name that she cherished, called her AMa-10, likely at her insistence.

It's harder to say you'd live for something than die for it, and I think that's the key difference between complements like Talulah & Patriot, Reed & Eblana, and Theresa & Theresis. Building home still needs those who will kill and die to protect it, but only to protect it, and that's murky.

Arknights needs an RPG spinoff where Oripathy is a quantity that actually matters. Too little Arts and they can't do the mission, too much and they won't be around for the next mission. Make us feel the Ghost of Babel's ruthlessness. The main story gives playable Infected way too much plot armor.
