Kal'tsit is 100% stone top with the Doctor but I can't help but see her as a bottom for Closure and her trusty strap, where they both want no-strings-attached stress relief with someone they can trust. Kal'tsit keeps "maybe some day"ing Closure's offer for Kal'tsit to stay the night.

Closure has a way of bringing out emotional openness in others and I wish we got to see more of her chemistry with Kal'tsit. Both physically and emotionally, Closure is important for keeping the lights on in Rhodes Island.

I think Theresis hated himself so much for orchestrating Theresa's death that he was willing to jeopardize his plans by letting her rest. Without her, no Sarkaz unity, no claiming Amnannam, Priestess awakens early. He knew how much Theresa would suffer in resurrection and couldn't bear to order it.

Arknights shows how moral compromise for the greater good ultimately fucks everyone over. The Doctor wasn't going to rejoin Priestess (for whom they betrayed Theresa), Eblana lost her humanity and left behind a deeply scarred Tara, Kal'tsit's successful Sarkaz genocide (IS5 ED5) brought endless war.

We need more insight into RI's hiring and how they decide to work with such dangerous people. Amiya wants to see the best in others, Kal'tsit is cynical but feels she has no right to condemn others, the Doctor would believe in second chances, but surely there are disagreements and lines to be drawn.

She lost her lynchpin, the person holding her world together, and is in denial about them being gone, because accepting that means accepting her loss and having nothing left to fight for. She seeks assimilation to spend eternity with her beloved.

Guards, historically the strongest niche, are the only class without a true monstrosity: Ines, SA2; Shu, Hoshi2; Mon3tr; Wiš'adel; Pram2; Tragodia, Angelina (in IS); Exu2, Ela, Wang. Leizi2 is the best guard but lacks the "what were they thinking putting this in the game?" impact of the above.

Wang has like no meaningful weaknesses. Anything that counters him will counter the vast majority of ranged/Arts ops. He's "just damage" (on S3) but can deliver it anywhere, fast, lots of it, for cheap. 50s down hurts but only if he uses most ammo and is dry for the downtime. 38s with 4 Sui is okay.

Wang is the second op after Kal'tsit to have immeasurable tactical acumen but I would too if I could place FIVE stones in one turn and not get called out for cheating.

Per Wang's talent when he puts 5 mines on S3 all 5 get the 3 stacks for +45% damage and 39 RES ignore, meaning he can at P6 do 83k in about 7s, rivaling Exu2 S3's DPS but AoE, pseudo-global, and much higher sustained damage and damage quality.

IS5 ED2 implies that the Doctor's helplessness is what gave Amiya the protectiveness that made Theresa clock her as a successor who could burn the clouds away (choice words to use on a gentle child). ED2 Amiya, raised by the two strongest Sarkaz, became a pacifist doctor, rejecting Babel's violence.

Amiya should've gotten to be upset at how the Doctor utterly failed her as a parent, not just for Theresa but for their negligence of her in the Babel days. She had to be self-reliant because she felt like her suffering was a burden on the Doctor. Amiya didn't really even grieve the Doctor of Babel.

CE showed Kal'tsit what Theresa saw in the Doctor in her last moments. Kal'tsit saw it many times to leave the breadcrumb trail about Priestess. Echoing Theresa's parting words shows how she redirected her anger at Priestess, who no longer seemed untouchable once she chose to believe in RI.

For all her rationality, Kal'tsit's attempt at Sarkaz genocide has to be the worst blunder in the story. IS5 ED5 shows that the Sarkaz were the scapegoat holding Terra's geopolitical tensions together: the nations hate (their idea of) the Sarkaz more than each other, but they sure hate each other.

Theresa chooses empathy, not just as its own virtue, but as defiance of fate. Showing mercy where hatred is expected is her rebellion against the Sarkaz's shackles. Forgiving Kal'tsit may have been her first act as KoS, setting the tone for a controversial reign that started breaking the cycle.

I think of Kal'tsit telling Damazti that her name is the one constant of her 13,000 years. It's what kept her going, the promise of reunion with the one person in her life who wouldn't die in 100 years. Theresa even noted how Kal'tsit cherishes her name.
