He's already carrying him off to bed. At least the room was kept pretty dim to alleviate what was surely the worst case of screen burn in the universe.

He's sitting down holding his head in his hands and contemplating his life, his choices, his failures, all building up to the moment where he accidentally, in his half-awake state, bit into someone's extra spicy leftovers. Fate was cruel, but his spice intolerance was even worse. Help
