[Final part] Another "screw you" was a friend very dear to me wanted to gift me Nitro. The moment I wanted to accept Discord asks me for my credit card details and phone number. What nonsense is this!? There are people who don't have a credit card!

[Part 2] The only way to regain access: Give phone number so we can steal personal information from you. And since Discord collaborates with Tensent, it should be evident now why Discord's Customer Service is increasingly getting worse.

[Part 1] For those who need details about my issue with Discord: I was searching to add a new friend on Discord. A single spelling mistake in the name first gave me User cannot be found error. 10 seconds later I got locked out and lost access to my account.

If anyone from Discord ever gets to read it: I am done with you! I have tried to be patient and kind but instead you turned me into a disgruntled ex-Discorder. You make every trivial issue into a lawsuit worthy blown up problem. You are lucky I don't have the money for a lawyer.

I used to use Discord on a daily basis for many many years. But it has deteriorated to the point that you get punished for a single wrong letter you type. Not to mention the continues restriction of your Freedom to force you to pay for Nitro. "You will owe nothing and you will be happy"

Guilded is the better version of Discord. It uses more advanced technology to run a server and all the features which are locked behind a paywall known as Nitro on Discord are 100% free on Guilded. It's time to show Discord they are not in control of our virtual Freedom!!!!

November 1st I leave Discord, for good. I had enough of them continuously stealing freedom locking behind a paywall, reducing filesize upload and making streaming quality worse each update, unless you are willing yo pay for an ever price increasing Nitro.

When Discord randomly logs you out and forces you to provide a phone number (permanently) to gain access to your account, it's not for verification. It's to make profit on you.

It is time to show Discord they are not in control and can't do as they please woth their isers. That includes to use your personal data without your consent to make profit.

I was using Discord for years, it used to be awesome, but it has become an absolute nightmare ever since the new CEO took over. Each of my request to allow me to regain access has been answeeed with same replies countless of times.

Discord also locked me out of my account for a single spelling mistake when looking for a friend. Customer Service is rock bottom (you talk to bots).

Discord keeps all the nice features behind a paywall. Guilded offers them all 100% for FREE!

Remember the huge wave of people dirching X for Bluesky? I encourage to ditch Discord for guilded.
