Labor Day is more than a holiday. It’s a reminder that every right we enjoy at work was won because workers stood together. From the 8-hour workday to safer conditions, these victories weren’t gifts, they were fought for. In Congress, I’ll stand with working people and fight for them every day.

Better schools. Better healthcare. Better jobs. Eastern NC deserves better, and I’m ready to deliver a better deal.

Knowing that hundreds would be affected by the Big Beautiful Bill, Greg Murphy still chose to vote “yes”.

Today is a week since the House voted on the Big Beautiful Bill. Since then, Greg Murphy has not made any efforts to speak with constituents about the bill but has been able to make odd posts to try and push the blame away from House Republicans.

This President's unconstitutional, reckless endangerment of our service members is putting them at risk right now. Standing up for our troops means not putting them in harm's way lightly—Congress must reassert its war powers now.

Last night we attended the Community Forum featuring Former Congressman Wiley Nickel hosted by the Dare County Democratic Party. We discussed recent federal changes and what they mean for Dare County. Thank you to everyone who attended!

The Outer Banks is the vacation spot of 2025. We have beautiful beaches and a growing tourist industry. If we want to keep the Outer Banks beautiful, we have to make sure that we are investing in environmental protection.

If we’re going to talk about Eastern North Carolina being one of the best places to raise families then we need to discuss how we can make sure that’s true.
