Monday 8th June I saw the female Kestrel of the breeding pair for the first time and it wasn't till i looked at the pics that i noticed that it was sporting a colour ring 'Red BKX' I've reported it to both Euring & the Clyde Ringing Group, so i'll let you all know the details when i get them #birds

Friday 22nd May I collected this Hawthorn leaf that was playing host to a tenanted leafmine on Wednesday. Initially i thought it was one of the Stigmella group but closer inspection revealed it to be Lyonetia clerkella and that was confirmed today when the larva exited the mine to pupate. #teammoth
