Friday 19th Sept It's been a while since i posted any Inverts so here's a couple of Hoverfly larvae & a Sawfly larva from along the Kelvin Walkway early morning.

Thursday 18th Sept Once again #fungifriends dominated proceedings. These two being the best on offer from my 6 mile walk along the F&C Canal (Clydebank > Maryhill)

Tuesday 16th Sept The West of Scotland Science Park produced a few #fungifriends not as many as anticipated but a few is better than none ; Weeping Widow?, Bracket sp, Slippery Jack & Clustered Brittlestem.

Monday 15th Sept Took a walk down to Victoria Park in the hope of finding some #fungifriends I only found 2 species but there were some impressive clumps of Upright Coral along with an unidentified species.

Sunday 14th Sept Finished my walk off with a couple of #fungifriends along the F&C Canal ; Scurfy Twiglet & Lepiota sp.

Saturday 13th Sept Had a nice surprise towards the end of my walk when i spotted a female Tufted Duck with 5 ducklings on the watersports complex at Port Dundas. This is the first i've ever recorded Tufted ducklings on my patch 😃

Friday 12th Sept No walk taken due to going into town for the next batch of gig tickets #punkrock but i still managed a wee bit of wildlife with this Birch Shieldbug that i rescued from inside the bus.

Wednesday 10th Sept In all the years the drake Ring-necked Duck has returned to spend the winter around Glasgow, this is the first time i've seen it in eclipse plumage.

Saturday 6th Sept Went back to Morrison's Haven and was rewarded with more Seals 😃 4 Grey & 3 Harbour ; Grey flat out on it's back. Grey above, Harbour below. Harbour. The other 3 were on the other side of the rocks. #eastlothian

Friday 5th Sept A early morning walk along the seawall at Morrison's Haven produced these ; A beautiful Harbour Seal (in the presence of 4 Greys) and a nice female Reed Bunting.

Thursday 4th Sept 2 coloured-ringed European Shags at Prestonpans. Yellow ASX : rung as a chick in the nest on the Isle of May 02/06/2017. Blue XS? : no details possible due to the last letter being partially hidden. Many thanks to Josie Hewitt (UKCEH) for the info.

Wednesday 3rd Sept Decided to go down the beach at low tide in the evening and look under a few rocks. Apart from getting sore fingertips from all the Barnacles attached to the underside of said rocks, i only found these 2 species ; Alitta succinea 'Pile Worm' and Green Shore Crab.

Wednesday 3rd Sept A few waders from Seton Prom ; Turnstone. Dunlin. Ringed Plover : juv. Bar-tailed Godwit : adult with remnants of summer plumage.

Tuesday 2nd Sept A very showy Wheatear on the rocks at Longniddry and a Swallow on the roadside wires. Not be long before both species are setting off to Africa for the winter.

Yes, get in! Just had an Osprey in off the Forth of Firth 😃 It flushed all the Ducks & Waders from the high tide roost at Seton Sluice. The bird continued inland heading S!

Monday 1st Sept A steady start to our week on the Firth Of Forth. The tide was out so there wasn't many birds around. All subjects from Port Seton ; Curlew. Great Black-backed Gull : juvenile. Common Blenny. Hermit Crab : i always look forward to seeing this species. #eastlothian

Sunday 31st Aug Kestrel was showing well albeit a wee bit distant on my walk back home early morning.
