Well FML I guess. The water pump in my PC has gone tits up. It started making this suuuuper loud noise and little by little it's not pumping anymore. I've RMAed it but that'll take time so I'm down and out for awhile which means my NYE plans are booked too. *Deeep breasaath*

Just got off the phone with my Mom and her Doctor. No cancer in her lymph nodes! Doc is still recommending radiation, but that's down the line a little bit and we'll deal with that when it's time. It's a relief, this could have been way worse. Thank you everyone for all the support and well wishes ❤️

Heading home tonight. I fly out of Wichita at 8 and get home around 11:30 with an hour layover in Denver. Mom is good and it's been great seeing her again but I am sooo ready for my own bed.

This trip has been a weird blend of nostalgia and a very real reminder of why I left the country as soon as I could lol. Love my Mom but I miss the city 😋

Made my Hungarian mushroom soup for Mom and brother tonight. Decided to try a little sausage in it this time and it turned out well!

Mom is sore but on the mend. I'm heading back home Tuesday so I can hopefully save some $$ on this rental. I'm going to set that aside in case I need to come back at some point. I'll be on the phone for the pathology results and we'll just go from there!

Mom's home! She's doing well and just needs her coffee lol. Next steps will take time, we have to wait for the pathology results to make sure it didn't spread to the lymph nodes, but the immediate stuff is over and things are ok. Thank you all again so so much! 💜💚💛🧡

We're still at the hospital. She can't keep anything down :( My phone is gonna go kapoot soon so I probably won't have another update until tomorrow. Thanks for all the love today everyone, it has meant a lot and helped so much. I am definitely ready for an ugly cry though lol

Mom is out of surgery and *mostly* awake. They're gonna give her something for nausea and see if she can keep any food down so we'll be here a bit longer. Once that's all clear we'll make the 45 minute trek up with hopefully few bumps along the way haha.

How am *I* doing today? I went to the grocery store a bit ago to pick up a few things and thought Mom would like a little treat after all of this so I bought some chocolates for her. It's currently 90 degrees out and they're sitting in a hot car lol. So yeah, about the same as usual 😝

Just got an update, she has another hour or so to go but they say it's going well. They got one node and are going for another and then the lump itself.

They just took Mom back. She'll be in surgery for a couple of hours.

Mom's back in the room and in good spirits but you can definitely tell she's ready for this to be over.
